    Ok according to Iamagm.com,

The Orlando Magic could be on the verge of acquiring Monta Ellis in a blockbuster three-team trade.  This would logically put an end to all of the Dwight Howard free agency and trade rumors.  Approximately 8 players are speculated to be in the deal.

RealGM doesn’t usually get into the business of reporting the news, so take this all with a grain of salt.  The Warriors have their own plans to attempt to acquire Dwight Howard, so this could all be just innuendo.  It should be noted that writer, Jarrod Rudolph, is pretty engrained with the inner circle of Dwight Howard.  We have used his reporting a few times here, specifically involving the Magic. According to RealGM.com: The Magic, Warriors and Hornets are in discussions on a three-team trade, two league sources confirmed. Monta Ellis, Andris Biedrins and Dorell Wright would be sent by the Warriors to the Magic. Ryan Anderson, J.J. Redick, Hedo Turkoglu and Quentin Richardson would be the main outgoing pieces from Orlando. The Hornets’ exact involvement is unclear, but believed to be centered around Chris Kaman.

Now I think this is a horrible idea for GSW. Why give up one of the best scorers in the league? I know they are trying to build around Stephen Curry but I don’t know if his ankles can support that much weight. I say keep Monta because I don’t know if Curry will hold up. And it’s not like there getting anyone amazing back. I think Anderson is just a product of the system of kicking in to Howard and then kicking out to the three point shooters. If GSW trades Monta, they need a big for sure. Your thoughts?

I agree with your stand on GSW on monta, I’ve seen no evidence of Curry being able to stay healthy lately and trading away the only guy who can fill that hole isn’t a good way forward for them..

Don’t like this as a Warriors fan, but nothing seems iminent so far.

Oh no, just went to hoopshype and saw this, not sold this is good for us, considering that we get Kaman, Anderson, Hedo, JJ, and J-Rich, or a mix of those guys. The link I found also says that Broussard has confirmed the source that the Warriors, Magic, and Hornets are in talks about this deal. I hope we don’t take on Hedo, cause the only other good thing I see from this is that we would save cap with Kaman’s expiring contract.

Oh wait, that article is good, it says that my dubs won’t trade Monta straight up for Kaman. At least we’re not that stupid, lol.

The only feasable deal I could think of in this scenario.

you can throw in biedrins and capt jack too and exchange awful contracts to avoid the trading big for small argument. Seems worse off for the Warriors at first, but they seem determined to get a center and bogut is good if he’s healthy and they have lots of other guards that would love to get those 15 shots per game.

There is zero chance Ellis is worth even a damaged Bogut.

Hmmm, this could be the type of trade that Dwight is insisting on. Basically, you pair me up with an elite youngish scoring guard, and then I will stay. I don’t think GMs are nearly as big fans of Ellis as the fans are. We love watching him take and sometimes hit crazy shots. Spin moves 360 layups and stuff. But at the end of the game, he has shot a bad percentage and his team loses.

why would he want to play with monta and nothing else, when he could play with deron williamsa and jermy lamb or kidd-gilcrest(I butchered that) if he waited till the summer to sign with the Nets and play in New York. I hope he leaves for the Nets, that would be more interesting and exciting.

Seems Milwaulkee disagreed with me, though apparently, according to Hollinger, this is as much about cap savings as competitiveness. Still, the Knicks seem to be in trouble if Ellis and Jennings can cover ANYONE.
