For us Lin fans , ,with Lin finally getting his chance to shine ,and proving he can really play ,this is a great time to enjoy the NBA.

We didn’t care about how stupid people thought we were.We knew Lin could play but others doubt us.They thought we were CRAZY and that Lin could never even be a starter well he has showed every one wrong.

Now I am not as insane as most Jeremy Lin fans.I probably have not like him as long as they have either.I first saw him play in the summer league for my favorite team(the Mavs)and I have always believed he could be a good player ,BUT I cant believe that he is doing this great!

This must be every Jeremy Lin fans biggest dream because he is just goin off.

BUT this post is mainly for the people who thought we were crazy and didnt believe in J-Lin .Well look who is laughing now

I’ll gladly admit I didn’t think he’d be good. You don’t need to make a "told you so" thread. No one respects that.

I watched him at Harvard his sr. year and felt he would be a good nba backup, becuz of his great court vision, ability to change directions, great shooting skills, ability to read the defense and his shifty ball handling to get anywhere he wanted on the floor..

But i had doubts about rather or not a team would draft him, becuz of the competition he was playing against in the Ivy League….

    But i had no idea,that he’d be scoring 38 pts in a nba game..I envisioned him scoring around 10 pts a night…

i will gladly admit im bias bc I am taiwanese myself. I have been following Lin since i first saw the game harvard vs. boston college in his junior year at harvard. i was like wow my lin brother is repping it for all the taiwanese/azn baller. many of my friends and i all agreed Lin had the skillset to become a good role player in NBA, but we also felt that he will most likely get undrafted since he is not that well known and not as "athletic" as other prospects. At the time, we noticed Lin mostly drive to his right, and if he wants to become a better player, he would need to change his predictable move. However, our opinions changed when Lin played for the Mavs summer league game. It was then we realized Lin maybe a starting point guard material. The way he defended Wall, and the ability to drive by NBA defenders with his quick first step surprised me and my friends a little. I was hoping my team LAKERS would pick him up, but he chose to go to GS, his hometown team. He got a lot of buzz in taiwan that summer. He went to taiwan and went on many shows. he was many people’s idol since taiwanese ppl LOVE basketball. when he was cut by the GS, there was an outrage among my friends. we did not understand why he was cut. "Financial reason" was BS to us since he was only making 300k a year. Again, many asian fans in southern california wanted Lakers to sign him.

Now, he finally got a chance to prove what he is worth in NY, and we are all really happy for him. His success and popularity made us Lin fans felt a little bit weird. Because for the first time, I felt like i am part of some bandwagon. As a "Lin" myself, I had a blog called "Life of LINSANITY." Now, this word is used everywhere. I felt weird. My gf got me a kobe jersey for our anniversary, and on the back, it says "LIN." Now i  feel awkward wearing it since it is a Lakers Jersey with Kobe’s number but "JEREMY LIN’s" last name. my gf told me the other day, she was actually considering putting "LINSANITY" on the back, and how weird would that have been.
