TyroberParticipantVery dick move. Most overpaid player in the NBA is now a douchebag. Not a good combo

M-EazyParticipantTime for him to be sent out of town. Melo needs help and Amare ain’t helping. He shows no interest in the game at all.

A Lil EnglishParticipantFunny how perceptions change. Last year he averaged 25 points a game and was a lot of peoples pick for MVP for the 1st half of the year. Just sayin!

M-EazyParticipantThat was last year. He just averaged 15 points and 6 boards in the playoffs that’s why perception has changed. Dude shows no interest in the games…he stopped going hard.

goldie92689Participanthe also made 20 of 36 attempts in the playoffs and 21-28 free throws…..give him the damn ball and he produces at the same rate. Melo took 31 shots in game 5 alone.
Amare is not over rated, rumors of his demise are over rated.

A Lil EnglishParticipantLooks like he went pretty hard with Battier infront of him!! Haha
Seriously though, I really dont think he should be shipped out cos of this series. He lost his big brother this year, his main pick n roll point guard and had another back problem which obviously limited his game sharpness and chemistry with the team. Not to mention playing with an injured hand (though that was obviously his fault). I think he should have more time.
I also think it would help in a motivational sense if he was incorporated into the offense more.

joecheck88ParticipantAmare is still a 22 and 8 player just not on the Knicks. He had a terrible year with tragedy, injury, and with geling with Melo. If he can go to a team like Houston(just an example, I know Scola and the other hundred forwards are there) where they have a good point guard, he would thrive.

IndianaBasketballParticipantNot only did Amare have to gel with Melo, he had to gel with Chandler who just completely clogs the paint. Stoudemire is best offensively when he plays center and there’s a stretch four on the floor. Put Amare in that pick and pop/roll game and he’s still a 20+ player.
I’m still a believer in Stoudemire, but his back (combined with his knees being a ticking timebomb) scares me.

joecheck88ParticipantGood point Indiana. He struggled playing with Shaq too but had Nash helping with that. I think it’s obvious he can still produce. I mean he was killing it before Melo got there and I don’t think they should have made that trade. To me, the back injury is more concerning. He isn’t the athlete he once was but he has played a few years now without knee problems. Those back injuries usually keep popping up.
