dmo21ParticipantSo I got bored once again and decided to make the best teams out of every birth year from active NBA players. The years range from 1974 to 1993. I tried to put players in their actual positions or a position they play regularly. So don’t get all mad when I don’t have 2 great point guards from the same year on the team. So after I put them up I hope we can have a discussion or rate them. So here we go:
74-76 Team:Steve Nash(74), Ray Allen(75), Jerry Stackhouse(74), Kevin Garnett(76), Tim Duncan(76)
1977 Team: Pable Prigioni, Vince Carter, Manu Ginobili, Kenyon Martin, Nazr Mohammed
1978 Team: Jamaal Tinsley, Kobe Bryant, Shawn Marion, Dirk Nowitzki, Jermaine O’Neal
1979 Team: Earl Watson, Paul Pierce, Metta World Peace, Elton Brand, Spencer Haywood
1980 Team: Steve Blake, Jamal Crawford, Tayshaun Prince, David West, Pau Gasol
1981 Team: Jose Calderon, Joe Johnson, Andre Kirilenko, Zach Randolph, Samuel Dalembert
1982 Team: Tony Parker, Dwayne Wade, Gerald Wallace, Amare Stoudemire, Tyson Chandler
1983 Team: Jarrett Jack, Ben Gordon, Danny Granger, Carl Landry, David Lee
1984 Team: Deron Williams, Andre Iguodala, Lebron James, Carmello Anthony, Chris Bosh
1985 Team: Chris Paul, Monta Ellis, Luol Deng, Josh Smith, Dwight Howard
1986 Team: Rajon Rondo, Wes Matthews, Rudy Gay, Al Horford, Roy Hibbert
1987 Team: Ty Lawson, OJ Mayo, Wilson Chandler, Ersan Ilyasova, Andrew Bynum
1988 Team: Derrick Rose, Eric Gordon, Kevin Durant, Kevin Love, Brook Lopez
1989 Team: Brandon Jennings, James Harden, Jimmy Butler, Blake Griffin, Serge Ibaka
1990 Team: Jrue Holiday, Gordon Hayward, Paul George, Demarcus Cousins, Greg Monroe
1991 Team: Brandon Knight, Dion Waiters, Kawhi Leonard, Tristan Thompson, Derrick Favors
1992 Team: Kyrie Irving, Victor Oladipo, Harrison Barnes, Enes Kanter, Jonas Valanciunas
1993 Team: Marquise Teague, Bradley Beal, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Anthony Davis, Andre DrummondI think the best team is between 84, 85, and 88. The worst team is probably 77.

MorseWillParticipantGive ’90 a few years and they could be one of the better teams… 5 guys who have either improved greatly recently or have shown good upside in the near future

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantI know it’s your opinion and all but I really gotta say that LaMarcus Aldridge is better than Josh Smith.
Also…Paul Pierce was born in 1977

dmo21ParticipantI must have misread the pierce one. Thanks for pointing that one out. And there was many many tough choices in this but smith over Aldridge was one of the hardest. But in the end I went with smith as I’ve always wanted to see smith and Howard on the same team lol.

theprophetParticipantit’s a good list. i might change out a few players here and there on it, but overall it’s good. some of these age groups could make a good starting 5 and some even a group of contenders. i might take the 74-76 team if we were talking primes.

aamir543ParticipantSteph Curry over Eric Gordon on the 1988 team, and it’s a legitamtie argument between ’84 and ’88.
