1st: C- Dwight Howard F- Lebron James F- Tim Duncan G- Kobe Bryant G- Dwyane Wade
2nd: C- Yao Ming F- Dirk Nowitzki F- Paul Gasol G- Chris Paul G- Brandon Roy
3rd: C- Mehmet Okur F- Kevin Garnett F- Paul Pierce G- Chauncey Billups G- Deron Williams

Crazy that Chris Paul won’t make first team but no way Kobe and Wade don’t take the 2 guard spots ahead of him. I also believe that the All-NBA 1st Team and the All-Defensive 1st Team will be the same.
Possible Garnett doesn’t make 3rd team because of the number of missed games, and voters might decide to give it to someone with good numbers (Bosh, Granger, Durant, Stoudemire) on a non-playoff team. I can’t believe I don’t have Tony Parker up there, maybe he sneaks in there ahead of DWill.

I think Okur really played well this year and feel that the Jazz being in the playoffs might push him with votes over Shaq, but either one would be fine with me. I also didn’t realize that Nene is the Nuggets starting center and with the year he had should probably make it over both Okur and Shaq because Chauncey was not the only reason that team stepped up.

I would have to switch Chauncey and Paul Pierce other than that they are pretty good

I love Tim Duncan but there is no way you can still say he is a first teamer, maybe second. Joe Johnson deserves to be on the third team. No way Mehmet Okur is on there and you can’t put KG in there because he’s been injured too much of the season. If he was not injured probably second team.

My All-NBA teams were not who I think should be there (although I agree with pretty much everyone), but a prediction of how I think they’ll turn out after the votes. Tim Duncan has been 1st team 9 times and 2nd team twice. He had a very good year and kept the Spurs in the conversation of best teams in the league while Manu and Tony both suffered injuries this year. I think KG will sneak onto the 3rd team although personally I would rather see Granger or Durant.
Also, All-NBA teams have to be 1 center, 2 guards, and 2 forwards. After Dwight and Yao there is quite a dropoff in the league (Al Jefferson had 3rd team locked up pre-injury). Also, as good of a player as Joe Johnson is, there just isn’t room for him. The problem there is who could you take off the top 3 teams in the guard spots. Not mentioned above, but I believe Mo Williams would make it ahead of Joe Johnson based on the fact that he is the second best player on the team with the best record (and an All-Star in his own right replacement or not).
***Also, could definitely see Chauncey making 2nd team and dropping down Roy to 3rd.
***Carmelo Anthony missed a bunch of games although I feel he had a great year but he’s never really gotten too much love from voters so I dont see that trend changing this year.

I would probably take Bynum over Mehmet because the Lakers have a way better record and Okur only scores on long range shots. Bynum can create offense down low. You could put Gasol as a center too or put to small forwards instead of a powar forward. I would also take Stoudamire mover Okur because he is dominant if the suns give him the ball. Tim’s year was good but it was still the worst of his career. Joe Johnson over Tony Parker because Parker was injured.

Bynum only played 50 games and no one has ever made all-nba with that few of games, and his stats and play don’t justify it anyway. Parker only missed 10 games which is not that much, plus he led the spurs to a #3 seed in the more competitive west. I don’t think the voters will be putting any Phoenix Suns on the All-NBA teams.
** Just a reminder to people: Kobe, Wade, and Paul can’t all make 1st team. Paul has to get bumped down to 2nd.
