WizardofOzParticipantAnyone else watching the MD vs. UNC game? Alex Len is playing like a monster right now. His stat sheet doesn’t look that great, but he’s impacting the game in so many ways.
His height and athleticism make him a great shot-blocker, and most of the time he doesn’t even have to jump and try to block it. Him just putting his hands up disrupts shots because of his height and length. Offensively, he’s still raw, but his jumpshot can become a big weapon for him in the future. He has excellent mechanics, and soft touch. You usually don’t see 7’1" big men swishing free throws.
I’d like to see him playwith more urgency on the boards, play better PNR defense, and improve his conditioning, but the kid is oozing with potential.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantI’ve been impressed with his play every since his debut last month..He started off on fire ,but went on a 4 game inconsistent streak..He’s always at the right place at the right time..Unlike alot of European big men,he plays like a center…I hope he sticks around a few more years, becuz if he gets more seasoning and much stronger,he could be a top 5 pick in a year or 2……

YurpleHazEParticipanthe’s a slender dude but he gets it in, he knows his role and plays like a true big man/C whose not afraid to get physical…..which is a rarity these days…….i agree he’s oozing with potential, but he has a lot to work on offensively….

river09ParticipantI was just about to create a thread on him. Watching the game right now I’ve been very impressed. He’s handled himself really well, on the offensive end showing some touch around the rim and has a little midrange jumper to go along with it. He does need some seasoning still but I see him going in the first round after another year with his combination of length/skills/athleticism.. Tries to bang down low right now, but with a few more pounds and some improved strength he could really be a weapon down there.
I’ve also been really surprised by Stoglin and Mosely. Both have made some big plays in this game. Mosely especially considering he’s giving up a few inches to Barnes. Stoglin reminds me of a jason terry with his fearlessness in the lane, his ability to score regardless of where he is on the court and who he’s matched up against is undeniable..

WizardofOzParticipant^^Yeah Stoglin is one of the most explosive scorers in the nation. He’s quick and shifty with the ball, has a nasty handle, and is very aggressive. He’s a good shooter too, but he forces a lot of contested shots and doesn’t have passing instincts.
Mosley is a solid vet. He not the tallest, most athletic, olr most talented player, but he knows his role and gives a lor of effort on D, and has great intangilbles. He has a future in Europe.

WizardofOzParticipantWhat a prick move by Henson at the end.

HaleParticipantI loved it. They should’ve blown Maryland out, and they didn’t play as well as they would’ve liked. Henson was sending them a message.
