 I am kind of tired of seeing just because the nba uses a no name accounting firm the draft lottery cant be fixed when two of the largest accounting firms got caught with their pants down. I am of course talking about arthur andersen and price waterhouse. arthur andersen with enron and price waterhouse was caught with a scandal in an indian computer firm. I am not saying all accounting firms are crooked nor to say that we should throw the baby out with the bathwater but I am saying that attaching an accounting firms name to the draft process gives it an air of legitimacy and it may be just that an air. david kahn is an unrecoginzied genius because he thinks at a higher level than most of us and now that he has publicly questioned the lottery I dont think it enhances its reputation any. if this process was legit it should be done publicly before the draft begins so independent eyes " a media representative" can  have a chance to see it.

Ernst and Young is a nationally reknowned accounting firm.  When people talk about accounting there is a thing called the Big 4, which are the 4 largest accounting firms in the USA.  Ernst and Young is one of those firms bud.

Very well respected international firm, but what is their purpose…it’s not like votes are tallied or process was completely unwitnessed

As far as ethics go, I would think this is a small potato assignment and completely not vulnerable…..there are bad apples in every walk of life…..Andersen had a few and took a lot of innocent victims (employees) down with them

 in attendance- exactly what does that mean and how is it supervised?accounting firms were the primary accomplice in the savings and loan debacle and fought tooth and nail (and won) to have Congressionally approved oversight/restrictions removed that had been passed as consequences. They followed this by being primary accomplices in the implosion of Enron, MCI/WorldCom, Tyco, etc. in the early 2000’s. The great and noble Ernst and Young has had their own follies, most notably with Richard Scrushy and Lehman Brothers.
