Folks, it’s not often that I purpose trade ideas here, but I actually put this on at least 2 trade forums, and both have given me very positive reviews. So heres an idea that I came up with. I’ll also say that I happen to be a Piston fan. Here’s the way I look at it(3-team deal involving Chicago, Detroit, and Minnesota):

    1) Chicago is looking for a solid veteren starting shooting gaurd.

    2) Detroit is looking to rebuild, clear some cap room, and possibly get a purer point gaurd(moving Stuckey to the 2 would be very ideal)..

    3) Minnesota, much like Chicago, is looking for veteran help as well as a starting shooting gaurd to play along side Ricky Rubio.

So, try this out for size:

    CHICAGO RECIEVES: Richard Hamilton

DETROIT RECIEVES: Jonny Flynn, Kyle Korver, Ronnie Brewer, and Nikola Pekovic

    MINNESOTA RECIEVES: Ben Gordon

    CHICAGO’S NEW LINEUP:

    C-Noah/Asik/Thomas

    PF-Boozer/Gibson

    SF-Deng/Butler

    SG-Hamilton/Bogans

    PG-Rose/Watson/Pargo

    DETROIT’S NEW LINEUP:

    C-Monroe/Wallace/Pekovic

    PF-(Whoever they pick at #8)/Villanueva/Maxiell

    SF-Daye/Korver

    SG-Stuckey/Brewer/White

    PG-Flynn/Bynum

    MINNESOTA’S NEW LINEUP(not counting their #2 and #20 picks):

    C-Milicic/Tolliver

    PF-Love/Randolph

    SF-Beasley/Johnson/Hayward

    SG-Gordon/Ellington/Webster

    PG-Rubio/Ridnour

I honestly think this works out well for all 3 sides. What do you think?

I like it, a lot the players involved need a change in scenary so their old teams would be thrilled to do this.  Also the returing talent makes sense for the teams. +1

yeah this seems more realistic compared to other trades on here, Rip will only be a temp. fix though since he is getting up thier in age, they would need to get another sg in the draft, but i like it

There’s no way Chicago’s giving up their ace 3-man + their top perimeter defender (both having very reasonable contracts) to merely pick up old man Hamilton’s bloated contract. For Minn/Detroit the trade looks far more reasonable.

With all due respect, I’m not sure what you mean by "bloated". Rips only on the books for two more years(and is only paid partial salary in the second). So it actually, in a way, works BETTER for Chicago salary wise seeing as Brewer/Korver are on the books for a gaurunteed 3 more years each. Just sayin. Although youre probably right about Brewer being a better defender than Hamilton, but I still think he can be a solid clutch player like Korver was.
