This review says it’s not just the best basketball game, but the best sports game ever made. I may have to actually get this, seeing as there may not actually be a season

Scottoant93ParticipantPresentation
The only way this could be more like an actual NBA broadcast would be if it locked the players out and canceled itself. LMAO ! that was goodIt looks like its gonna be really good, too bad I won’t be playing it because i don’t have a ps3 or 360 haah im outdated as hell

Anton123ParticipantI don’t know why everyone said that my player was tough and slow in 2k11, I always was able to get 20-5-5, averaging an A+ teammate grade playing 5 minute quaters and win the MVP without any cheats or much practice, I thought it was a bit to easy, although I did play on "pro" difficulty.
To me the biggest problem with My Player was that you had to play 82 games and if you simulated any of them you totally sucked. I don’t know if it’s the same in 2K12

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantIt is Awesome and Addictive…But Im getting this game until I see some movement on the lockout front…with no new roster updates we will all be stuck playing with the Legendary rosters…even if they add the Rookies from this class and port all the FA’s to a Free agency pool where we can make up our own Offseason moves…I love the 2k series but when the pro sport your game is built around is on a "lock out" why should we invest our money day one…let the NBA fix it’s own financial problems and lets all support 2k when we have a season to look forward to…

PyronParticipantjust learning from last year i pre-ordered mine. i really don’t feel like waiting until a store re-stocks after they sell out on the first few days

ilike.panochasParticipantI might hold off until they have the roster update with the rookies on them, just ain’t the same starting franchise mode without this year’s rookie class. Till then I’ll keep playing this recyled (same game every year) EA Football game that is called Madden 12.

aamir543ParticipantI literally can’t wait, but I’ll have to wait a week or two, cause the guy that modifies my 360 says that I have to update the sofware, and he says to wait untill he gets the new one, so the next 3 weeks or so will be kind of torture.

IndianaBasketballParticipantPlease explain modifying your xbox to me… This is the second time I’ve seen you mention it and I have no clue what it is lol. What are the benefits of doing it?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 09/30/2011 - 10:09pm #602284
OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantFrom what I’ve heard, the main benefits of modding your Xbox are the ability to download games early and for free.

iguapops420ParticipantBasically thats it. Also you can play at a faster speed on killing games online such as Halo etc. But mainly its to never have to actually pay for games. If it’s done wrong though, you’re out a video game system. Personally, I’ll pay my 60$ for new games.

IndianaBasketballParticipantYea… Doesn’t sound like it’s worthed to destroy your xbox over…
Or wait… Would it give you a faster speed online in 2K12 lol? I sware… I be feeling like some dudes are playing on 70 speed and I’m on 50.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 10/01/2011 - 3:49am #602298
Bmore_DCParticipantnah it wouldnt control the game speed indy, but i feel you…the lag online is annoying as hell…you gotta change your whole game (imo)….
as for 2k12…all you guys saying your gonna wait, your crazy. do the rookies really matter that much? it was like the worst draft ever and when the lockout ends (which it will) they will easily put a roster update with all the rookies on their teams. they already have the players created and everything just waiting till this thing gets done…
in the mean-time just start a My Player or Legends…and by XMAS we should have the rookies (hopefully sooner) because i agree, association mode is not the same without the rookies.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantbecause the game WILL be missing key factors that make a "New" game well NEW…examples…No Rookie draft Class, No updated roster’s(trades, free agent’s,retired players, player progression or degression, No Association Mode (unless you want to play with last years Rosters), watered down online community(yes Most people will be playing the Online Shooters like Gears of War/Rage/Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3 or the Solo Player adventure Games like Arkham City, Assassins Creed or Skyrim)…I’m a game buying fool and even I’m a little apprehensive to buy this game during this very jam packed Game Season( and the lock out is just about the last thing the 2k Developers and fans want or need)…my plea to any true fans of the 2 k series is to wait until the game actually feels NEW, because with none of the Key Ingredients I just mentioned above why or how is it that different than 2k11(I mean I have all the draft class’s downloaded and simulated the offseason plenty of times on my own to hold me off until they resolve the NBA lockout and 2k Developers can get back to work…But if playing with some old school teams is all u need to fork over 60 bucks I have a copy of the original 2K for sale…60 $ plus tax and that’s firm(just like gamestop will tell u when you go to buy 2k12)…
