    Hey everybody

    About to get an XBOX 360 and was wondering what is the superior NBA video game?

    I’m thinking obviously 2K11 but I’ve also played it a couple times and it seems pretty tough to play where I really enjoyed playing both 2K10 and 2K9 and they seemed more flowing to me.  Is 2K11 really that much better?

    And if I have wi-fi can’t I just update the rosters to what they are now so 2K9 or 2K10 would have the same players as 2K11?  By the way…would I need an XBOX Live account to update the rosters or just the wi-fi?

    Thanks a ton for your help!

    2K11 all the way! I used to be all about NBA LIVE up until the 2k9 era and couldn’t be happier.

    Guarentee the myplayer mode will blow your mind haha so much fun.

     Ya i go with 2k all day. 2k11 is the best b ball game i have ever played. The game play is the most realistic yet. Im about to go play afew ranked matches before work haha. But i am pretty sure you need live to update your rosters from 2k share.

     I’m about to get either a PS3 or a Xbox 360 which is better and why? I still want to be able to play my PS2 games no matter what system I get. I know that is possible with a PS3 but is that also possible with an Xbox 360?

    First off, only a 2k11 game was released for this season so it wins by default. Lucky for you it’s a great game. I would probably say the best basketball game to date. Nba Live or NBA elite as it was going to be called was such a poor game that they cancelled it for this season.

    @wardb12…not all PS3s play PS2 games. None of the slim models can and not all of the phat models can. You’ll have to do some research to find the exact models that do.

    Can someone explain how Dirk Nowitzki is rated at 85 while Amare Stoudemire is an 88?

    @bennydabull

    Don’t pay so much attention to the overall ranking… Look at skill ratings. Nick Young is rated 71 and I score 30 on the regular with him. Dirk’s offensive ratings are off of the charts and he’s clutch. He’s tough to defend because he can post up, face up and just shoot over most defenders.

    Stoudemire’s overall rating is higher because his athleticism ratings are off of the charts, while also being a great offensive player as well. He has quickness, speed, hops, etc that Dirk can only dream of.

    Love’s shooting is very good and his rebounding is at the max… He’s a solid passer and he’s strong. However, like Dirk, he’s not very athletic. He’s also still young and his awareness at both ends isn’t all that high, especially at the defensive end. 82 is about right.

    Billups is old… Shooting, handling, awareness and clutch are very good, but his athleticism is low and so are his defensive ratings like steals and blocks.

    Chris Paul is rated 96 because everything is off of the charts. His shooting, IQ at both ends, passing, handles, steals, quickness/speed, clutch… I do think he should drop a little though because he’s lost some athleticism this season.
