    Karl-Anthony Towns – 12/ 1.5/ 7/ .5/ 1.75
    D’Angelo Russell – 15/ 6/ 3/ 1/ 0.5
    Jahlil Okafor – 17/ 2/ 8/ .25/ 1                     ROY
    Kristaps Porzingis – 8/ 2/ 5/ .5/ 1
    Mario Hezonja – 10/ 3/ 3/ 1/ .25
    Willie Cauley-Stein – 6/ 1/ 6/ 1.5/ 2
    Emmanuel Mudiay – 14/ 5/ 4/ 1.5/ .75
    Stanley Johnson – 11/ 3/ 6/ 1/ .5
    Frank Kaminsky – 9/ 2/ 5/ .25/ .25
    Justise Winslow – 12/ 2.5/ 5/ 1.25/ .5

I believe Jahlil Okafor going to win because he will be Philadelphia number one option and most likely the only option. The rookie of the year typically goes to the player who scores the most points. Jahlil Okafor will have that oppotunity.
I would’ve picked D’Angelo Russellbut he will have to share the ball with both Jordan Clarkson and Kobe Bryant.
Karl-Anthony Towns won’t put up rookie of the year stats mostly due to the fact that he’s playing with Andrew Wiggins, Zach LaVine, Shabazz Muhammed, and more that can score.
Emmaunel Mudiay is a tricky one because if Ty Lawson stays he won’t be able to be a major impact guy.  But if he leaves he have an oppotunity to put up rookie of the years numbers.

For the most part I agree but I think Russell going to have a hard time putting up 15/g with Kobe, Clarkson and a big name FA, not mention Randle.

It’s hard to judge at this moment as we don’t know what a team’s starting line up may be. We could think Russell might be 2nd option behind Black Mamba and then a couple of good FA’s come in. How will Philly sort out their big man roster, Embiid could be ROY contender too as he didn’t play last season.

If Lawson gets traded then I think Mudiay could be a decent contender and KAT should be a regular for the T-Wolves too.

Those numbers would make Mudiay one of the best rookie PG’s ever to play. Those are Damon Stoudemire numbers. Highly doubtful he puts up that. I’d say 12-ppg, 3-rpg, 5-apg is wishful thinking on 30 mpg.

Not only that but they’re even slightly better than what he put in in China, same points more assist.

i take it julius randle is out of the rookie stuff becasue he played a couple minutes last year?. Not sure how that works if they are picky about him having taken the court last year in one game for a few minutes.

       Randle is inelligible.

If you played any part of a game last season then you wouldn’t count as a rookie I believe.

Rookies also factor in stashers who may be brought over so if the T-Wolves bring over Nemanja Bjelica as rumoured, he will count as a rookie in NBA terms next season despite being an established European player.

My favorite is D’Angelo Russell and my dark horse is Emmanuel Mudiay if Ty Lawson gets moved before the season. I think Russell could put up 16pts 6ast 2stl as a rookie.

I think Russle is the obvious choice, but I think I’ll skip him and go with:

Mario Hezonja. He’s going to a team that 1.) needs shooting, 2.) needs scoring, 3.) Is losing their best scorer in FA, and 4.) is just a beast who is going to be getting a lot of minutes in ORL. I like Olidipo and Fournier, but I think Mario will be able to play right away, and I can confidently say he’s already one of the best shooters and scorers on that team without even playing an NBA minute yet. He’s going to have to earn his minutes obviously, and Skiles likes to play veterans, but that’s the thing, the Magic have no veterans at SG/SF who can do what Mario can, unless you plan on giving Willi Green/Ben Gordon huge minutes.

I’m expecting a stat line of 15/4/2/1 on 42/35/85 shooting, and think that will be enough as the Magic look to make a huge push this year. I just don’t see any other rookies besides Mudiay/Porzingis/Russle being able to go all out like Mario will.
