aramboneParticipant1 Cle Noel – push comes to shove, take the freak talent. They can always trade him later when value is higher. Offensively raw but so quick that he will get plenty of points off putbacks and cuts nobody else can make. Likely lost weight after injury. 206 pounds is deceptive. Noel can even get some minutes rookie year as a defensive stopping SF, like a young KG without the offense. Keeping Irving around longterm requires longterm planning and a bit of risk taking on Cleveland’s part. Don’t blow it.
2. Orlando – Burke – Safe pick, positional need, leadership need, Burke can help make Orlando competitive right now. McLemore is not a positional need and is not good enough to ignore Burke.
3 Washington – Porter – positional need and sells tickets with dc fanbase.
4 Charlotte – McLemore – great fit and good value
5 PHX – Len – new gm McDonough knows potential franchise centers are rare, and McDonough and Len will be under no pressure to produce in year 1. Gortat’s contract is up after this year and he could be traded midseason. The better to tank as well.
6 New Orleans – Oladipo – pick may be traded if Gordon is not, but drafting Oladipo makes it easier to trade Gordon for anything at all.
7 Sacramento – Zeller – A team first guy and a frontcourt scorer that would make any departure of Cousins easier, even if Zeller stays at PF.
8 DET – Bennett – Best available
9 MIN – McCollum – Shooter
10 POR – Plumlee – ready to contribute to a playoff team and start next to Aldridge. Good rebounder and can get points with or without plays called.
11 76ers – Adams – center of future
12 OKC – Karasev – possible reach but good glue guy, Lamb insurance13 Dallas – Shroeder – stash
14 UTAH – MCW – pg falls into lap
15 MIL – KCP
16 BOS – Olynyk – interesting tandem with Sully longterm, both play with heart and smarts
tbc…

CavFanPRParticipantDon’t blow it? Taking Noel will be a big mistake. If I was the GM, I would do anything to stay away from him. Trade the pick and get some value or take anyone else. Noel isn’t a consensus number one pick. This draft doesn’t have any of those. Besides, he will probably do what he did last year. Waiters wasn’t mocked anywhere near the lottery until a week before the draft when he got that promise. Same thing will happen this year. The question is, who will it be?

PaulsJayhawksParticipantWhy would they take Kabango with Corey Joesph coming on as the back up PG.
