    I just saw an article that said the 1972 USA Olympic Basketball Team is having a 40 year reunion this August.  I wasn’t born yet in 1972, but I do know the story about how the Soviet Union got 3 chances at the end of the game to score after Doug Collins hit 2 free throws to give the US a one-point lead.  I just recently watched the end of the game on Youtube.  What happened there is a complete and utter embarrassment and I understand why the team never accepted their silver medals.  Somebody needs to step up and acknowledge the utter stupidity that happened and give the United States their rightfully earned gold medals.

     Wow, and the worse part about it all is the way the Russians celebrate at the end. As if they’ve actually won something on their own, garbage system.
