surveParticipantSuper tough questions…
1. Rose- because at 6’5" I would at least be able to bother his jumpshot although I couldnt stop him from getting to the hole.
2. Kobe- he’s gonna torch you regardless, the other 3 are more unselfish and if they are passing the ball, you wont look as bad on the defensive end. Kobe is gonna shoot, like it or not and he is gonna score, like it or not.
3. Tyreke- I think the Kings are doing a good job of that now. Reke is a wonderful scorer and unselfish player, he is good all around and I dont think you need as many specific pieces around him.
4. It depends on the offseason…but looking forward, I really like the Knicks.
5. Bynum- If he is healthy he is scary and I really dont think we have ever seen him at his best.
6. I dont think Durant is anywhere near his prime, so in the future, it may be Durant but right now I have to go with T-Mac because he was an effortless scorer but an underated playmaker and team player.
7. Jeez, these questions keep getting tougher but I like Carmelo because he is to much of a matchup problem for 3’s and 4’s.
8. Nash/Stoudemire- I personally think Malone was better than Stat but Nash better than Stockon.
9. OMG what a matchup. I have to go with A.I. though.
10. I go with Jordan and Olajuwon…but thinking of how we used to play 2 on 2 growing up, the old strong post up game usually always beat out the quick one on one maneuvers. So I could easily go with Magic/Kareem.

OhCanada-Participant1. Who would you rather guard? (If you were an average 6’5" build with average athleticism) *In their prime

- Dwyane Wade

Might be the least athletic which is not saying much. I would give him the shot play him for the drive and get in his ear.
2. Who would you LEAST want to guard? (If you were an average 6’5" build with average athleticism) *In their prime
- Derrick Rose
- Dwyane Wade
- Kobe Bryant
- LeBron James
Too big, too strong, too athletic, too good.
3. Easier to build a team around?
- Tyreke Evans
- Russell Westbrook
- Andre Iguodala
- Rudy Gay
- Pau Gasol
Rudy would likely be a 23-ppg scorer on a team looking for a featured 1st option. Has all the skills for a young 1st option iis a great leader, and extremely athletic. Westbrooks shot selection needs some work, and Gasols head is a mess.
4. Who goes deeper in the 2012 playoffs?
- Spurs
- Lakers
- Celtics
- Knicks
- Magic
Thats tough, Id have to go with either of those two out of respect.
5. When healthy, who’s better?
- Andrew Bogut
- Andrew Bynum
Bogut plays that position so well, does everything you want your C to do. Bynum want more out of his role, and wants to be a prominent scorer for LA. He needs to understand when he should get his touches and how, especially with Kobe, ODom, Gasol etc. on the court. Some maturing left for Andrew.
6. In their prime, who would you take?
- Tracy McGrady
- Kevin Durant
Ill awnser this one when I see KD’s prime, yet I think I would take KD.
7. In their prime, who would you take?
- Carmelo Anthony
- Vince Carter
Vince…he would just jump over everyone. Cant beat that.
8. Who win a 2 on 2? *In their prime
- Nash / Stoudemire
- Stockton / Malone
9. Who wins a 1 on 1? *In their prime
- Derrick Rose
- Allen Iverson
Whoever gets the ball 1st most likely, but Ill take iverson. although we havent seen Rose in his prime.
10. Who wins a 2 on 2 tourney? *In their prime

Would want to see just how great he is in person.
2. Who would you LEAST want to guard? (If you were an average 6’5" build with average athleticism) *In their prime

He’d talk smack to me all game.
3. Easier to build a team around?

- Rudy Gay
- Pau Gasol
PG is the easiest position to build around IMO.
4. Who goes deeper in the 2012 playoffs?
- Spurs
- Lakers
- Celtics
- Knicks
- Magic
Will be better with a full season and the additions they make in the offseason.
5. When healthy, who’s better?
- Andrew Bogut
- Andrew Bynum
All around is better right now…maybe in the future Bynum.
6. In their prime, who would you take?
- Tracy McGrady
- Kevin Durant
IDK what Durant’s prime will be like so right now I will go with McGrady.
7. In their prime, who would you take?
- Carmelo Anthony
- Vince Carter
As a coach I think I could do alot of things with Melo. He’s so gifted and powerful. Just teach him some D.
8. Who win a 2 on 2? *In their prime
- Nash / Stoudemire
- Stockton / Malone
That Pick n Roll/Pick n Pop game was unstoppable.
9. Who wins a 1 on 1? *In their prime
- Derrick Rose
- Allen Iverson
Very tough question, but I think in his prime for 1 on 1, I might have to take A.I. If it was more a team oriented game I’d go Rose.
10. Who wins a 2 on 2 tourney? *In their prime
- Kobe / Shaq
- Jordan / Olajuwon

2 unstoppable players. MJ in everything he did, and Olajuwon with that nasty low block fader and array of post moves.

LawDeeZeeParticipant1. Who would you rather guard? (If you were an average 6’5" build with average athleticism) *In their prime
- Derrick Rose
- Dwyane Wade
- Kobe Bryant

I’d go with wade because the other guys would have such glaring advantages in different areas, rose’s quickness, kobe’s ability to make impossible shots, lebron’s size and strength
2. Who would you LEAST want to guard? (If you were an average 6’5" build with average athleticism) *In their prime
- Derrick Rose
- Dwyane Wade
- Kobe Bryant
- LeBron James
I would say lebron because he’s so physically imposing, but he let’s defenders off the hook at times by not taking full advantage of his physical stature … so KOBE, because … in his prime he could drop 30 on guys who played textbook, perfect defense on him for 48 minutes … just had the ability to hit incredibly difficult shots and make it look easy
3. Easier to build a team around?
- Tyreke Evans
- Russell Westbrook
- Andre Iguodala
- Rudy Gay
- Pau Gasol
So explosive at the point guard position, he’s still learning the game … but give me the talent and i’ll try to find someone to coach it up
4. Who goes deeper in the 2012 playoffs?
- Spurs
- Lakers
- Celtics
- Knicks
- Magic
They have the best team right now and aside from the celtics they went just as far as anyone else this year
5. When healthy, who’s better?
- Andrew Bogut
- Andrew Bynum
He may be a punk, but you can’t teach that strength and size … plays inside offensively and is a better individual defender
6. In their prime, who would you take?
- Tracy McGrady
- Kevin Durant
This is tough because T-Mac was so talented and made it look so easy … but, KD has already taken his team to the western conference finals … McGrady’s playoff struggles are well known
7. In their prime, who would you take?
- Carmelo Anthony
- Vince Carter
Vince Carter sucks, period!
8. Who win a 2 on 2? *In their prime
- Nash / Stoudemire
- Stockton / Malone
Malone is strong, but i don’t think athletically he could keep up with stoudemire
9. Who wins a 1 on 1? *In their prime
- Derrick Rose
- Allen Iverson
my real answer would be whoever got the ball first, haha … but i think rose is so much stronger and more explosive
10. Who wins a 2 on 2 tourney? *In their prime
- Kobe / Shaq
- Jordan / Olajuwon
- Magic / Kareem
- Bird / Russell
i feel like you’re matching the best perimeter player of the bunch with the best big man of the bunch … of course one could argue for kareem and russel was a flat out winner, but i like the dream here

Only guy on this list to drop 81. The other guys might make you look worse but when Kobe is on he is unstoppable.
3. Easier to build a team around?
- Tyreke Evans
- Russell Westbrook
- Andre Iguodala
- Rudy Gay
- Pau Gasol
Just needs to be moved to the 2 guard instead of the 1 and would become much more productive.
4. Who goes deeper in the 2012 playoffs?
- Spurs
- Lakers
- Celtics
- Knicks
- Magic
Will likely have the same team from this year back but they will be hungrier after getting swept.
5. When healthy, who’s better?
- Andrew Bogut
- Andrew Bynum
Very good question, giving the edge to Bogut. I think if he played for the Lakers his defensive numbers would be even better than they already are.
6. In their prime, who would you take?
- Tracy McGrady
- Kevin Durant
We don’t even know if we have seen Durant in his prime yet. Plus T-Mac couldn’t even get out of the first round which Durant has already done.
7. In their prime, who would you take?
- Carmelo Anthony
- Vince Carter
Neither of them play defense but offensively Carter did things in his prime only a couple other players have had the ability to do. Both get lazy at times.
8. Who win a 2 on 2? *In their prime
- Nash / Stoudemire
- Stockton / Malone
Have to take the 2 that played together forever.
9. Who wins a 1 on 1? *In their prime
- Derrick Rose
- Allen Iverson
Again Rose may not have even reached his prime yet (scary thought) but I don’t think Iverson would be able to guard Rose. Iverson was great no question about that but Rose is just way bigger.
10. Who wins a 2 on 2 tourney? *In their prime
- Kobe / Shaq
- Jordan / Olajuwon

Jordan doesn’t lose and in my opinion The Dream is the most talented big man to ever play in the NBA.

Hakeem is the most underrated superstar in history of the nba. He didnt have any clothing lines or catchy commericals, he only dominated David Robinson, Shaq, and other centers of the 90s

It really came down to who had the better jump shot. I’d have a better chance staying in front of LeBron because of my foot speed & I wouldn’t get bullied as much based off of strength.

Just downright unstoppable in his prime. We talk about a man that scored 50pts in 4 straight games against NBA players in an official game? C’mon son. Ain’t no way you guarding that. The stuff he did……
3. Easier to build a team around?
- Tyreke Evans
- Russell Westbrook

I got to go with the big man in term of having the job be easier. Those other guys are good & young but I’d start with Gasol.
4. Who goes deeper in the 2012 playoffs?

I’m basing this only on the idea that they actually get CP3, but C’mon son. A focused Amare, Cp3, & Melo has a good chance of going deeper in the playoffs. Oh, & if they get rid of D’Antoni. Too offensive-minded. This year’s playoffs has taught me that defense is the only thing that’ll take you far. Other years taught me too.
5. When healthy, who’s better?
- Andrew Bogut

Andrew Bogut just has a better repitoire of moves & play good defense. He’s professional too. Bynum acts up too much.
6. In their prime, who would you take?

C’mon son….what kind of question is this? lol This guy’s numbers didn’t only show up in the scoring column.

I love Allen Iverson, but Derrick may be too quick even for A.I. He’s blowin by guys with a sprained ankle. He’s also feeling that ware & tear because of those World Championship games & going so hard over the course of the year. But anyways, Rose just too strong & taller. Would be a great matchup nonetheless

Ummm Idk. The favorite is always gonna be Jordan but Kobe in his prime was pretty damn unstoppable too. You add that to Shaq? Shaq was downright unstoppable.Hakeem was great too but Shaq was just something else. It can go either way man.

More a testiment to these other teams. Spurs are done. Celtics will not be as good as they were this year. Magic will be a low seed and mite not have Dwight. I say both the Lakers and Knicks get to the 2nd round. But i still see it being Heat/Bulls in the east, and in the west, its too wide open for me to pencil in an aging LA team before i see what changes they make.

I’m getting dominated anyways so I’ll go with Wade because Rose’s quickness, LeBron’s strength, and Kobe’s overall shotmaking ability is too much to overcome.

If I’m building a team around Westbrook, then this means he probably gets to be the Alpha Dog, so he won’t have to have an ego check. Point guard is probably the easiest position to build around too.

- Jordan / Olajuwon
- Magic / Kareem
- Bird / Russell
It’s interesting that Jordan and Olajuwon are up here, it’s such a random combination. Like LawDeeZee said, you are putting the best perimeter player and arguably the best big man together. Since they actually played together, a more interesting duo would be Chamberlain and West.

blood1. kobe-because he is just like you (6.5 average athleticsm)
2.james-you cannot stop 6.8 250 animal
3.prolly russell because hes younger than gasol, but you need alot of passive players who wont demands shots
4. 2012-imma gamble on this one,i will take knicks if they bring solid defensive big man, they would be problem on east
5. bynum but he will never be healthy
6.tmac-he could gave you 30 points 7ass 7 boards in his prime and decide game
7.vince-at one period he was prolly the leagues top 3 player but injuries and work ethic…
8. nash stouddmire—stat in his prime would be unguardable by malone. he wasnt very good defensive player and wasnt really athletic as stat..he is monster, and put in nash’s crazy passes they would won
9.AI…D-Rose is fast but iverson was on another level
10.hard one, imma say kobe, shaq if they got the first ball…hakeem was great but shaq is the msot dominant player ever,he would just dunk every time he got the ball, but if they dont get, then MJ would prolly killed them until ge misses or gets rejected..imma huge hakeem fan but i think he in his prime couldnt do a thing against oneal…shaq won 3 titles by himself almost and he was a big factor in 06…i dont think you should call hakeem greatest c ever thats stupid…Kareem is no.1,shaq 2,hakeem 3…i dont like putting russell or wilt because those guys played in era when there wasnt a c in nba.(just like today, when we have howard as the best but he really doesnt have competition)

Yeah, but they were both from the 90s. Jordan didn’t play with a great big so I wanted to get him someone from the same decade. I thought about using Patrick Ewing but decided with Hakeem instead.
