aamir543ParticipantWow, some people really don’t have anything better to do than neg people for their FAVORITE players. I guess Haters gonna Hate.
Active Players:
Kendrick Perkins(Love that look on his face that says "This is war", love the toughness)
Jeremy Lin(goes back to way before Linsanity)
DeMarcus Cousins(Love the Talent, gonna be a top 10 player really soon)
Kevin Durant(Loved that silky smooth jumper dating back to Texas)
Steph Curry(Been a fan since Davidson, I was yelling at the TV for David Kahn not to take him and for us to take him, I was estatic when we got him)
All-Time:
Shaq(Him and Yao are my All-Time favs, I was crushed when they retired, especially Yao since his career got cut short due to injuries)
Yao
Allen Iverson
T-Mac(his body retired 3 years ago, but there was a time when no one could figure him out, drive right, and pull-up jumper left)
Dikembe Mutombo

ASAP HenryParticipantCurrent:
1) KD, loved him since high school. humble superstar and da best scorer in the game. Makes it look effortless. 2) Kobe, closest since MJ. great scorer, winner. Does anything he can to win. 3) Demarcus Cousins, weird choice but he’s my favorite big man in the league. I think in a few years he WILL be better that Dwight Howard. Dangerous low post moves, aggressive rebounder. 4) LeBron, too fun to watch. Plain and simple. 5) Derrick Rose, hometown team. Hoping everyday he recovers from that ACL 100%
All Time:
1) MJ, nuff said. 2) Larry Bird, such a smart player. Crazy high b ball IQ. Legendary tash talker. 3) T-Mac, he was my favorite player growing up. Sad injuries robbed him. He really was KD before KD. 4) Scottie Pippen: greatest 2nd bannana ever. Lockdown defender, great all around player. 5) Dominique Wilkins: such an underrated player imo. Great scorer who competed as hard as anyone. Always had crappy teams tho. Human Highlight Film!

Pistol Pete. The PelicanParticipantTop 5 All-Time In Order
1. Penny Hardaway- Would be one of the greatest guards ever if not for injuries. Could play the 1 and 2 and be successful. Super athletic, Long, Great Ball Handler, Great all arounf game.
2. Tracy McGrady- See Penny Hardaway
3. Allen Iverson- I was in love with his toughness, swagger, tenacity, and skills. His crossover and jumper was one of the most monumental things in basketball in the late 90s and early 2000s.
4. Isiah Thomas- Best little man ever in my opinion.
5. Scottie Pippen- I always thought Chicago doesn’t win championships without Scottie. In my life, I’ve always tried to model myself after Scottie Pippen. Great defender and all-around player. Doesn’t get enough credit.
Top 5 Active In Order(Not counting Tracy as active)
1. Rudy Gay- His talent is undeniable, I still think he should be better than he is, but I’ve always loved his game ever since UCONN, I think a trade will wake him up. (Fingers Crossed)
2. Andre Igoudala- Same things about Scottie Pippen minus the chicago parts. Also who can forget him getting robbed in the dunk contest.
3. O.J. Mayo- I’m one of the few who still thinks he can be a star in the NBA. I think if he goes to a team that lets him run wild he’ll be great. I still think he can compete with the Derrick Rose’s, Russell Westbrook’s, James Harden’s and Eric Gordons of the league. He’s a great scorer that works better with the ball in his hands just like the others named. He could be a great defender when he puts his mind to it. Just ask CP3. Ripped him straight up about 8 times during the playoffs, and that’s arguably the best guard in the league. Also he could get others in the game just as good as Westbrook. Just needs the ball in his hand, and needs to be allowed to turn the ball over 4 times a game to do so. Yes that is a knock on Westbrook, but a underhanded compliment for both.
4. Kobe Bryant- Greatest perimeter player since Jordan. Maybe it’s because he got to play on good teams his whole career and he stayed healthy. I thought Tracy was better when healthy, but Kobe’s will to win and talent is so fun to watch. He deserves props.
5. Lebron James- The best player in the world. Watching him grow since HS, has been amazing.

Memphis MadnessParticipantAll-Time: Magic, Barkley, Dominique, Jordan, Rodman, Hakeem, and Shawn Kemp were some of my favorite great players. Through in LJ too. He kicked some butt on the Hornets.
Current: Rose, Z Bo, Tony Allen, Marc Gasol, Rudy Gay, Tyreke Evans, Perry Jones, Will Barton, Ricky Rubio, and DeMarcus Cousins. I also like Pyscho T. I respect the hell out of LeBron. He turned into a beast and got it done. Not a big personal fan of Kobe but the guy is a killer and he can play. I also like Nash and Bynum.
Guys I am getting tired of: James Harden — the flopping and not showing up in the Finals. Dwight Howard — he needs to make up his mind.
Here are some of my other favorite older players who weren’t really superstars: Vlade Divac, Nick Van Exel, Spud Webb, Muggsy Bogues, Kurt Rambis, Sabonis, Richard Dumas on that 1993 Suns team, Chris Morris, John Starks, and Jason Williams. Oh yeah, I liked Chris Webber since his Fab Five days although I consider him more of a superstar.
By the way, I read that James White was signed by the Knicks. He’s one of my favorite Cincy guys. Dude can dunk too. Hopefully James “Flight” White enters next year’s dunk contest.
My favorite guys who retired before I started watching basketball are Pistol Pete, Dr. J, George Gervin, David Thompson, Bob Cousy, and Earl Monroe. I also try to find
stuff on Keith Lee and Len Bias.0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/05/2012 - 8:18pm #692544

ChewyParticipantShaq has had too many nicknames to list in one post. I used to have the bed sheets that looks like his Orlando Jersey and my loyalty followed him to LA (loved Eddie because he got along with Shaq and hated KObe because he didnt lol)
Growing up in Chicago ofcourse I loved MJ but for some odd reason (remember: I was a little kid so it’s not like I was measuring them on ability) MJ was never my favorite Bulls player. I loved BJ Armstrong and Horace Grant… weird huh. Maybe I just had a healthy respect for role players even as a 5 yr old.

actually I used to like but he burned bridges everyone he went and he cut his career short because he refused to stay slim. Don’t get me wrong…. He still top 10 all time, just had he cared he could have been top 2 ever.
