gatorheelsParticipantClippers have reportedly switched their focus towards Ramon Sessions. Clipper fans rejoice. Sessions would be a much better pickup than Iverson.
Sean May is rumored to be signing with the Kings shortly. Good move by the Kings. When healthy Sean May is a great backup PF. Sacramento needs all the help they can get. They still have quite a bit of cap room. I wonder who else they are secretly targeting?
Boozer going to the Heat? Jazz would get Haslem & Wright but would send both of them to the Grizzlies. Jazz obviously get a ton of cap relief. Memphis also would receive some draft picks. Seems like a good move by all 3 teams. I hope Memphis actually gets something good out of the deal.
Portland is in a risky spot. Odom could give them a better team but would it actually weaken the Lakers? Wouldn’t the Lakers, if they lost Odom, have enough money to get a quality free agent like Sessions, Lee, or Big Baby. I think Portland should spend their money on somebody else besides Odom.
Glen Davis is just waiting for the smoke to clear. Once the Boozer trade goes down & Milsap is resigned by the Jazz things will get a bit more clear for Big Baby. Portland could come calling. Detroit & New Orleans are also still interested. It wouldn’t surprise to me to see Dallas make a move for Davis.
Are the Magic going to trade Gortat? I know the Rockets would be interested in a trade.
Ersan Illyasova? The Bucks just signed him. Anybody know how good he is?
The Suns still are open to the idea of trading Amare.
Walt Frazier said this about Thabeet…”He didn’t really impress me, he wasn’t very assertive.” Ouch
Speaking of rookies this is what RicBucher had to say about Jordan Hill: stronger version of Channing Frye, very Mikki Moore looking

gatorheelsParticipantAlright but think about this… Portland signs Odom….Lakers sign David Lee
I still the think the Lakers would beat the Blazers if this happened

White ChocolateParticipantGatorheels, I believe that if the jazz-heat-grizzlies deal went down the Jazz would be getting Haslem not the Grizzlies the Grizzlies only get Dorell Wright and picks/cash. At least that’s what everybody is saying, but if your right I would want the Jazz to sign Big Baby to back-up Millsap.

Knicksboy34ParticipantWell, the Lakers cant sign Lee.
They are over the cap & they used the MLE on Artest…
But if it did happen, I still think Portland because Odom provides solid scoring, rebounding and passing

gatorheelsParticipantJazz Fan11- I read about the trade on some website & they were saying the Jazz would send both of them to Memphis. The Grizzlies do have the cap space to take both Haslme & Wright. Yep that is exactly what Utah should do- sign Big Baby.

UNC4eva8806Participantthe lakers couldn’t just sign David Lee(no cap)… the only way they could get him is if LA gives up some young talent in a sign and trade for david lee

gatorheelsParticipantSo I’m confused… if the Lakers don’t resign Odom…. how much money do the Lakers have if any to spend on free agents?

IndianaBasketballParticipantA couple of other rumors are:
– The Indianapolis Star is reporting that if the Pacers don’t match the Raptors’ four-year, $20 million offer sheet for point guard Jarrett Jack, they could turn their attention to Sixers’ free agent Andre Miller.
The Sixers apparently offered Miller a one-year deal for just under $6 million. The Pacers don’t have the $5.85 million mid-level exception available because they’re supposedly $5.2 million below the salary cap. To get a deal done with Miller, Indiana would probably have to work out a sign-and-trade with the Sixers. It’s unclear what the Sixers would want from the Pacers in that scenario.
Miller had been seeking a three-year, $30 million contract, but apparently no team is willing to pay more than the mid-level exception for one year. The Knicks could be a possibility, along with the Trail Blazers.
– The Clippers have offerered a coaching position to famed skills guru Tim Grgurich in hopes of convincing Grgurich to walk away from longtime boss George Karl. The Nuggets are working to convince Grgurich to stay. This would be a HUGE move by the Clippers in regard to their dedication to developing their young talent.
