NBA Comparison: Mehmet Okur

Stevan Petrovic – 6/3/2007

Strengths: Skinny Power Forward with good size who exploded this year Possesses a very good basketball IQ, understands the game well Fundamentally sound, versatile player that doesnt mind running the floor Skilled PF who can play both inside-and-out (if he is open he will not hesitate to shoot 3s) Very difficult to defend (will post up smaller defenders or get by bigger players) Has a nice combination of face-up and low post game Erceg extended his shooting range and became a consistent shooter from 15-20 feet (has good range on his jump-shot) His shooting touch and mechanics are good He has impressive ball handling for his size; in the low-post, Erceg can put the ball on the floor and use his quick first step to get by defenders Finishes around the basket well with either hand Erceg can create his own shot off the dribble (will pump-fake and penetrate) Not afraid of stepping up for big shots when its needed and not afraid of taking responsibilities His passing ability improved since last year (if he gets doubled will find open teammate for easy jump-shots) Moves well without the ball and tries to find good position to receive the ball (gets open looks close to the basket and uses screens well) Good free-throw shooter Coachable player anda hard worker Could develop into a solid NBA player down the road

Weaknesses: Erceg has to improve his defensive game overall in order to play at the next level Has difficulty guarding perimeter players too Skinny and not powerful enough inside the paint Doesnt have strength to handle his position in the NBA Gets out-muscled by most of the PF in European and Serbian League (must add some weight and put a lot of work in the weight-room) Has to become a more consistent shooter Doesnt like contact Average rebounder and not much of a shot-blocker Lack of aggressiveness (has to attack the basket not fade-away so much) and explosiveness in his game Has to become a more consistent shooter
