Overall:

NBA Comparison: Paul Pierce

Strengths: Strong Character. Super rebounder. Has a knack for crashing the glass. Good defender. Great strength. Very good athlete. Perimeter game is showing improvement. Will be a solid pro at the least.

Weaknesses: Ball handling, passing and outside J all need to improve.

Now in just his sophomore season, Quentin Richardson has put himself among the truly elite players in college basketball. Making the switch from small forward to shooting guard, (in a move that will help him become a better pro) Quentin has begun to focus on the part of his game that is most lacking, his perimeter skills (shooting and dribbling). His greatest strength is crashing the boards and at 6-6 was among the Nations best in rebounding as a freshman. "Q" as he is nicknamed has great leadership abilities and has the potential to be a superstar on the next level. Quentin’s outside shot has shown vast improvement as the season has progressed and he figures to be one of the top picks in the June 2000 draft should he make himself eligible.
