Ah, lottery done, can get excited about trades that will probably never happen! Anyways, look at the below, and tell me who says no!

Picture the scene – it’s the 11th hour, Danny Ainge has been working the phones like a madman, but can’t find the trade for the star he wants. He really doesn’t want to get stuck picking at #3, but wants to get value back as well.

He gets a call from the Nuggets, who have fallen in love with Dragan Bender, seeing that his size, athleticism and potential floor spacing could be invaluable besides the Nurkic/Jokic combo – and Kenneth Faried is seen as a bad fit beside either of them. With a young team that already goes 7 deep, they want to draft a player who will really move the needle, rather than just getting younger with 3 draft picks.

So out of the following trades, who says no?

    1) #3 for #7 and #15

    2) #3 for #7, #15 and #19

    3) #3 for #7, #15 and one of Nurkic/Jokic

    4) #3 and one of the Celtics youngsters sitting in a crowded backcourt (Hunter, Young, or Rozier) for #7, #15 and Nurkic/Jokic

    5) any combo of the above you can make balance

I think there’s definitely an interesting trade there, if Boston run out of options – they could take a value pick at #7 (I think Hield or Murray will fall there), a role player at #15 (a senior frontcourt guy like Prince or Johnson would be great) and a draft-and-stash at #19 (Luwawu if still available, Yabusele, Cordinier, or Korkmaz).

    What do you think?

     1) Celtics, Ainge won’t give up 3 for such little in return

    2) Same as above

    3) I doubt the Nuggets would give up that much for Dragan, I don’t see him as having that much more potential then Nurkic or Jokic, and even if you think he does, giving up 2 draft picks as well makes it a robbery for the Celts.

    4) This is a fairer trade, but I’d still rather 2 picks and Jokic/Nurkic then Bender + any of the celts guards, none of which have proved much at the NBA level yet.

The one I would do the most would be 4 because we get to get rid of James Young and get back a nice center prospect. But I don’t think that these would ever happen because I don’t think Danny wants to add more picks when he already has 8 this year.

    1.Boston says no.

    2.Denver says no.

    3.Denver says GFY.

4 Denver says no thank you.

    5.No.

Celts have more picks than roster spots.

8 picks in 2016. they have the 16th why would they add more or the 15th.

Same for the nuggets with 3 picks in the top 19.

    6. Farried and 7th pick…..For 3rd pick   + young or hunter or rozier or a future protected 1st(2 of them).

    Who says no ?
