Even though they both would have been drafted…Mitchell in 1st round probably…not too bad a decesion….although I def could have seen McCollum leaving after his nice lil NCAA tourney run.

I Thought McCollum had made it Official he was Leaving last week?

For McCollum this might be a good decision, becuz this year’s draft is Loaded and that would’ve pushed him late into the mid 2nd round..

Cody Zeller hasnt let his Intentions known….

Wow CJ Mccollum not leaving is a huge surprise for me. I don’t think he’ll hurt his stock going back and finishing his education but I don’t think he’ll be able to get it much higher, unless he beats duke singlehandedly again and then beats Xavier too.. He looked like the complete package against duke scoring from all over the court.. His stock might just fade as we forget what he did this year and next year doesn’t even make the tournament… Smarter teams will make sure to remember his name though..

CJ McCollum really enjoyd being the best player on the court, when the team he was balling against had like 8 mcdonald’s all-amaericans.  I’m also surprised that he decided to return to school.  His draft stock couldn’t get any higher after that sensational performance against Duke.  Guess he loves playing in college.

Although I read something a couple days ago about Tony Mitchell returning to school rather than opting for the NBA, I’m still surprised he didn’t declare. I’m assuming a guy that was ruled academically ineligible for Missouri  doesn’t care much for school and the prospect of being a 1st round pick and not having to go to school again would be enticing. He still made the right decision though, he needs to work on his perimeter skills if he wants to be an NBA small forward., and if he does, he could be a lottery pick.

I really think McCollum should go into the draft, he really has nothing else to prove and I don’t think his stock can get much higer then it is right now after dropping 30 on Duke.

As for Mitchell, I think it is the right move for him. I read somewhere a few months ago that he was leaning toward staying in school and was not even thinking about the draft. He just needs to get more experience and he will be fine. He missed about a year and a half of school ball so I think staying is a good decision just so he can have some more minutes under his belt before he goes to the NBA.

The inability to “test the waters” hurts a guy like Tony Mitchell. he has all the talent to wow during a workout setting.
