Dhamp2ParticipantI’ve had it with Elton Brand and the 76ers marriage. He obviously doesn’t fit their style of play so why don’t they trade him and admit that everyone made a mistake. Brand should’ve stayed in Clipper land (though I can’t totally blame him for leaving that team). Brand is the biggest reason Baron Davis CARREER had plummented, might I add. Had he stayed in L.A. he and Davis could at least made the playoffs. But Brand in Philly is a joke.
Dhamp2…the greatest basketball mind in the world. Next to Hubie Brown anyway.

llperezBrand needs room to operate on the low post. He also always benefitted from wing players that could draw attention off him. Right now, other then Kapono, the sixers aren’t a very good shooting team and Brand is not getting any easy looks because defenses collapse. Some of this has to go on Brands shoulders though. If he was a legit franchise player, he would adjust his game and step up to the plate.

quincey hodgesans i was one of the ones that bashed you 8th..so far this year i have been wrong(although i said wait till midseason before thinking of trading him and starting speights)..so i still have time..but so far he hasnt played that well and speights has out played him offensively in less minutes…i think this system int the best system for him because everyone knows what hes capable of doing because he has proved it before

quincey hodgesby the way if brand not being in clipper land the reason why baron career has dropped then baron shouldnt be playing basketball…with that said i must say you are wrong dhamp..baron has dropped because of baron not anyone else..no one else told him to get out of shape last year or not play as hard or train as hard…thats the main and almost the only reason his career has dropped(injuries)

sheltwon3ParticipantI think Brand should go back to the Bulls, I am sure the 6ers could use some pieces that Bulls have to make this work.

Chicago1980ParticipantBrand doesnt fit the brand of basketball that they are playing in philly he had 6 points and 9 rebounds yesterday and he wasnt a factor in the game he doesnt even play down the stretch. Philly needs to cut their losses and admit they were wrong and trade him for a PG or something they like speights better anyway.

dmo21Participantchicago would be a good fit but who would they trade, Brad Miller?
Milwaukee needs a pf but i dont think they would like Brand’s big contract, they could trade Ridnour & Gadzuric for him, giving philly a pg… this looks good but its all about the money.what you think?

JNixonParticipantI don’t want Ridnour on Philly…he’s just as bad a defender as Williams and not nearly the offensive player.
This may be crazy, but I think Portland and Philly should make a deal were Brand goes to Portland for Andre Miller and someone like Patty Mills or Dante Cunningham.

quincey hodgesyeahhh i just dont see miller going back to philly..plus portland is doing pretty well with miller and it doesnt make sense to sign a guy for that much whos playing well then trade him after 7 games.

JNixonParticipantI didn’t mean that the trade would go down like right now, I just think that it would be a good trade. Andre Miller isn’t an ideal fit for Portland, and Brand isn’t for Philly. And Portland needs a PF who plays the post and bangs like Brand anyway. I think it helps both sides.
