To me it’s Charlotte. Not To me it’s Charlotte. Not because of what Chandler bring to the table, but it’s what Okafor doesn’t. Don’t get me wrong I love Emeka as much as the next guy, but playing in the West with a 6’9 center in Okafor and a 6’8 PF in David West? It doesn’t sit well with me. People can talk about how Charlotte want’s to free up cap for 2010 because of Jordan, but I don’t think it’s it. I think they realized how much offensive game Emeka doesn’t have.

Toss up It’s a bit of a toss up as to who got the best deal. I think Okafor is a slightly better player than Chandler (plus he is signed long-term) so I’ll have to give the slight edge to New Orleans.
Okafor is a Great Fit for New Orleans Any time you can add the defensive presence that Okafor brings to a team makes you better. And I guarantee you he will catch the same lobs that Chandler benefited from because the PG is still Chris Paul. Let’s see what Chandler does without the 4 lobs a game he received.
David West I think the big thing here is how great David West became under Chris Paul…he was a mediocre prospect when he was originally drafted, and went from averaging 5ppg and 15 mpg to 17 ppg in 34 mpg, and has only seen his numbers increase since. I’m not saying no credit goes to West in improving his body and game, but Chris Paul certainly helped him out. I think with Paul running the show, and West helping out down low, something Okafor never had in Charlotte, makes the big difference. Chandler, barring injury should be alright, but New Orleans will clearly look like the winner during the season.

Hornets Win! Okafor is a great glue guy. He can now focus on his strengths of rebounding and blocking shots. With Paul, West, Peja, he wont need to score. All he needs to do is rebound and block shots which he is great at. Watch for his rebounding and block shot numbers to go up and like its been said CP3 will make him better.
The Bobcats need a scoring big man…Chandler is not the anwser at all. He catches alley oops thats it. okay rebounder and shot blocker. The need to sign Iverson for this trade to look good, and work for them.
