sheltwon3ParticipantI agree but I am surprise that Skiles gave him the minutes early on. That is why I thought it would be a while before he put up these kinds of numbers. I wonder if he jumper has shown improvement.

quincey hodgesskiles had no choice..when a rookie is eating up everyone he faces in practice and playing as well or better then everyone he faces in workouts, summer leave, preseason then you gotta play him..the writing was on the wall when he let sessions go( who by the way is looking liek i said he would, not a allstar who people overhyped. by aying hes one of the top 5 or 10 pg int he nba)

RickyRubio9Participantbeen waiting to see him play and man did he come to play, although he did have 5 turnovers it was an impressive outing for a Rookie PG, one of the hardest positions to step into. I think he, Redd, and Bogut can lead this team to the Playoffs. Tomorow I’ll try to catch some of the game, but I’m going to focus on my Rockets. They play Pistons. Let’s see how Jennings does in a back-to-back.

quincey hodgesyeah he did his thing…im hopeing you mean lead them to a future playoffs because im not sure if they are good enough to get to the playoffs this year..although they arent that much worst then the sixers

whiteflashParticipantMan, about a week ago someone asked if the Knicks made a mistake in passing on him and I said every team not the Clippers made a mistake and that when it’s all said and done Jennings will be te best player from this draft and I got like negative 4 points, haha. One game is obviously way too early to make any bold declerations, but this kid is gonna be something.

quincey hodgeswhy would he wish he was flynn?..hes scored one point less but has gotten more assist and rebounds in one game then flynn has in 2

marcusfizer21ParticipantShould have been the one running the D’Antoni offense instead of Duhon…

lalailaParticipanteven quinicey who suprisingly is high on Jennings don’t think he will play tha way, isn’t you? he is terrific, i’m shocked…i still think this game is his one of the best games, and he will be worse than tonight(because, oh my..he was better then Rose as a rookie) but you can’t disagree with his playing, he shows he is perfect score/pass mix, and 9rebounds for 170pounder, damn good!!

bigballa3jjParticipantthe kid had a very good game. but it was ONE game. you have to wait and see before you can say i told you so

Meditated StatesParticipantI will say it cause I’m comfortable saying it. I told you so. People said like Telfair. What games were you watching?
0 - Posted on: Sat, 10/31/2009 - 4:38am #225329

IndianaBasketballParticipantI was wrong about Jennings. I knew he’d do well, just not so soon. I thought Skiles would start Ridnour and bring Jennings along slowly. I give them mad props for starting Jennings and putting the keys in his hands right away!

NorthernLights666Participant“why would he wish he was flynn?..hes scored one point less but has gotten more assist and rebounds in one game then flynn has in 2″
You’re absolutely right, the problem is, is that Jennings actually has teammates that can make shots off his passes, definitely can’t say the same for Flynn. Jefferson has looked awful, definitely a step slower out there on the court and nobody else is anything but inconsistent on offense. Give Flynn Michael Redd and Andrew Bogut and his assists are up at the 11-12 mark. Believe me, 3/4 of Flynn’s passes off the drive and kick are missed shots, not his fault, just the Wolves can’t make open shots, they need shooters, or Makers, as Rambis would like to call them, and no, 6’3” Curry at the SG would not be helping, the Wolves would be an even worse defensive team, you saw how bad the Warriors lost to the Suns last night, and still Curry has no FTAs in two games and over 30 minutes played in each game. Yes, I’ll give it to Jennings for the rebound total, but I still think Flynn is the much better prospect, maybe even more athletic than Jennings, definitely stronger, and they’re what only 8 months apart, can’t believe they’re only that far apart in age, but Flynn is at least twice as stronger as Jennings, get in the weight room young fella, the problem for you though, is that you might lose quickness putting on muscle, not for Flynn though.

quincey hodgesim not going just off stat..i watched flynns games and i watched jennings..jennings looked better ..and jennings i better at eeting up teammates and getting them in a position to score..he wasnt just paing to a guy who wa open and they made it he has giving it to them in the best position possible for them to make it..in 2 games i havent seen that in flynn yet….flyna may be tornger but it doesnt seem to matter ince jennings finishes just as well with contact. and you wont lose quickness if you put on weight while working on you legs..also he doesnt have to get bigger he can just get stronger..hes only a couple pounds lighter then chris paul so thats not a issue what so ever.flynn has the potenial to be good..jenning has the potenial to be great
0 - Posted on: Sat, 10/31/2009 - 7:56am #225305
RUDEBOYIf he had played at Arizona for a year…He would’ve been drafted number 2..But he went overseas where he wasn’t use too their style of play…Scouts begin to doubt his ability..Because he was expected to dominate over there….People begin to say he was immature, too skinny, was selfish, lack an outside shot and Some said he was overrated..If he can’t play there..How could he handle the rigors of playing in the best league in the world? Milwaukee gain..Knicks lost

Bryant24Participantwhen i was sayin brandon jennings was better than johnny flynn people was quick to disagree brandon jennings is a beast an elite passer his potential is off the charts all he got to do is keep his on right and he will be great.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 10/31/2009 - 9:02am #225374

butidonthavemoneyI still like Flynn more. He is a true leader, or at least he was in college. Jennings is kind of a showman, hasn’t reached his full maturity yet. Let’s see who’s team wins more games this season. Also keep an eye on minutes played and shooting percentages. On crappy teams, stats don’t say much…
Tyreke Evans
Brandon Jennings
Jonny FlynnAll three are the starting point guards for their teams right now. Could a Deron Williams/Chris Paul rivalry come out of this rookie class? Or are we still talking about Westbrook and Rose?

Pistol Pete. The PelicanParticipantthat’s the bad part, he’s better than flynn an he hasn’t reached his potential
with his game, style and attitude he’s a marketers dream.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 10/31/2009 - 11:44am #225441
quincey hodgesjennings is also a true leader..even though he didnt play college he lead oakhill academy pretty well….and its not just the stats that ha people praising jennings..just watching the game and the lil things he did..the fundamental things and things that you cant teach…..add to the fact that he can play flashy but thanks to his year in europe he can now play calm and collected..neither player has reached there full potential. jennings has also always been a very special passer

The Big OBrandon Jennings is a marketers dream, with his game, hip hop clothing style, and attitude
I hope he’s gonna be in Milwaukee for a long while, maybe they can get McGrady and Jennings together in free agencywho has a better 1-2 punch than that?

butidonthavemoneyEverybody.

Michael.S.ParticipantWell……….I predicted a PG to win the ROY……….see my predictions…………..I had these 2 in mind(Flynn+Jennings)
It is really hard for me to decide who to go with here…….but I like Flynn a little bit more……….I rather go with him because I feel Jennings is super fast, yet he settles for fadeaway J’s, while Flynn attacks the paint ferociously. Of course Jennings could do the same but he doen’t do it that often from what ive seen.0 - Posted on: Sat, 10/31/2009 - 4:21pm #225464
The Big ORe: butidonthavemoney
c how i jumped on the bandwagon and I got 2 points? I hope jennings stays a “buck” the rest of his career.
let the young money era begin. ):)0 - Posted on: Sat, 10/31/2009 - 5:34pm #225497

Pistol Pete. The PelicanParticipanthe finished game 2 with 24 points 3 assists, 3 steals, he’s definitely legit.
