d-ravParticipantToronto Raptors. Kudos to Bry Colangelo on his aggressive approach during the off season. He basically unloaded everyone on the team not named Bosh, Bargnani or Calderon. The inclusion of the multi skilled Hedo Torkuglo, along with proven role players Jack, Wright, Rasho and Belinelli, will undoubtedly add much greater depth to Triano’s roster than what he had at his disposal last season. Their new look lineup is shaping up to be the Magic of last season, which featured a stud point (Jose), a versatile perimeter defender (Wright), 2 insanely accurate and tall shooters (Hedo and Bargnani), and an absolute beast of a centre (Bosh). The only component missing from the Raptors would obviously be the latter, which Bosh will have to yet again patrol (despite his physical deficiencies). Aside from that, this new look Raptors i believe has what it takes to regain their spot among the top 8 in the East (if not higher), making them the “Surprise team of the Year”.

Champzilla21Participanthaha sorry to burst your bubble but their not ging to surprise anyone, yes they have all the offensive skill that you pointed out. But on the defensive side is where this team is lacking. Calderon cant guard a chair, Turk and baragni have slow lateral movement and are not at all scary help defenders. And if bosh plays center he hill get torched by shaq howard lopez, perkins, and every other center becuz hes too thin and will be worn out. For them to do good everyone they brought in would have to mesh, Derozan would have to have a sexy rookie season, and bargnani would have to improve to a 20 pt scorer

JoeWolf1I think Belinelli is going have a bigger role than he did at Golden State and be a significantly improved player this season.

youngmagParticipantBosh been busting centers ass since he came in the league and him and Dwight always go at it so I could see the Raptors being good again as long as the coaching is right.

SlimParticipantChris Bosh is the PF he goes
and guards the Garnetts not the Kendrick PerkinsD12=Amar’e & 275 lbs! of defense
Chris Bosh = http://www.slamonline.com/online/nba/2009/03/shaqs-nickname-for-chris-bosh-rupaul/0 - Posted on: Wed, 09/30/2009 - 10:05am #217866
SlimParticipantBosh is just a tall skinny small forward
busting ass does not equal 33 wins IMO
Bosh is a less solid defender than Bargnani
and so he makes up for it with his quickness on offense
that will not get it done in the NBA more often than notBargnani at the 4 = 7’0 260 lb shooter
Duncan at the 4 = 7’0 260 lb shooter (17 foot)
Okur at the 4= 7’0 260 lb shooter0

td8118ParticipantThink I heard this last year….This is all moot anyway, their are really only 5 teams that can win a championship this year(SA,LAL,BOS,CLE,ORL) Denver and Portland may make it a little farther than expected but that is it

JNixonParticipantThe Raptors will probably be a 5th or 6th seed, but they wont last more than 6 games because they have alot of weak defenders on their squad.
