    Probably not the Michael Jordan, but maybe the Dikembe Mutombo. I think she’ll be more of a defensive force than anything else. Not that I really care about the WNBA anyway.

    I agree with pureshooter 100%, i think in terms of building legacies she’ll be more of a defensive defensive force than anything…

    I dont follow women sports often, but its hard not to know who this girl is

    the WNBA should rig the draft for the NY team to get her so you have

    Griner on the East Coast- Parker in the West

    That can jumpstart the WNBA

    She might help bring fans in, I hadn’t heard of her so I looked her up on Wikepedia. It had an interesting stat that there have only been 7 dunks since 1984 in NCAA Womens and WBNA play. Fans like dunks, she could help increase low attendance numbers

    Not trying to sound like a hater, but i watched about 5 minutes of the Sparks /Seattle game yesterday, and I’m very unimpressed with the amount of evolvement in girls basketball. I saw at least 2 completely uncontested layups blown. One airballed three. And nothing that generally impressed me. Candace Parker has got some serious skills. But overall, I just can’t see the entertainment value in watching people play a sport that are not better then me.
