    The 76ers have agreed to terms with forward Rodney Carney, this according to a source familiar with the situation. Carney, 6-foot-7, has agreed to a 1-year deal. Previously, Carney spent two seasons with the Sixers: 2006-07, 2007-08. In July of 2008, Carney was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves, where he played last season.

    WOW!!!!! Thats big to me, probably not to anyone thats not a 76ers fan. We basically got rid of him to get Brand, and now we have him back. I he should play, we needed athleticism for our 2nd team on the wing anyway.

    I know Rodney (he’s from Indianapolis) and it’s good to see him return to the team that drafted him. He’ll be a nice/athletic backup on the wing… Just don’t ask him to create his on offense off the dribble!

    He is a spot up shooter or a finisher in trasition. Alright defender cause of long arms.

    Good add. Great athlete with an improving all around game. With more minutes he should be a productive guy, maybe as the 6th man.

    Good pickup, especially this late in free agency. I think they should have considered making a move for Felton though. I don’t think he was on their radar and I know they didn’t want to go over the cap, but I think he would have fit in well.
