i say do it. move him to the 1. he’ll oversize and dominate there. i wouldn’t trade conely away for a garbage 2 though…conely could have a very bright future…

If Conley could have a very bright future then why trade him? So you can move a natural 2 guard to point guard and delay his progress? Mayo should only play spot minutes at the point.

if i’m choosing who to keep between the two guys…i say mayo…being he wants to play the point..he WANTS to play it….and he played decently at the 2 his rookie year.

Had more turnovers then assists so putting him at the one this year would be stupid

The Griz need to develop their young talent and they will turn out like the Blazers and forget ideas like AI or Z- BO( which they will find out was a big mistake)

I think he should stay at the 2. It just seems like they already want that. I mean…just let him handle the ball most of the time…no biggie, but he leave him at the 2 spot. Conley can play off the ball and handle when needed. Especially if he can improve his shooting. Eh…moving Mayo now just doesn’t make sense after all this Conley nonsense.

And pro’s add to their game in the summer. He’s 6’5 and the Griz can go big with Mayo – Gay – Young as the guards when they are resting Conley.

No way Mayo is 6′ 5″… 6′ 4″ is more like it.

Mayo needs to stay at the two and continue working on his off-the-ball game. Trading away Mike Conley would be stupid. He finally started playing well after the coaching change last season. Conley = Past first/Pure Point Guard… Mayo and Gay = Shoot first/Scorers. It doesn’t take a brain scientist to figure out that, that’s the right formula.
