Now that we got the Final Four in place, I’ve been looking at so many mocks and it seems like everyone is all over the place on mock boards.

Who would you want to draft between:

Ja Morant or RJ Barrett (me – J.Morant)

Louis King, DeAndre Hunter, Cameron Reddish, Keldon Johnson, or Nassir Little? (me – L.King)

Rui Hachimura or Sekou Dembouya? (me – Rui)

Bol Bol or Jaxson Hayes? (me – Bol)

Cassius Winston or Carsen Edwards? (me – C.Winston)

NAW, Kevin Porter, or Tyler Herro? (me – T.Herro)

Ignas Brazdeikis, Jordan Nwora, Kris Wilkes, Aubrey Dawkins, CJ Elleby, Lamine Diane, or Admiral Schofield? (me – J.Nwora)

Bruno Fernando, Charles Bassey, Daniel Gafford, Tacko Fall? (me – D.Gafford)

Darius Garland, Coby White, or Jarrett Culver? (me – D.Garland)

Ty Jerome, Markus Howard, Tre Jones, Bryce Brown, Corey Davis Jr, or Shamorie Ponds? (me – T.Jerome)

Jarron Cumberland, Dylan Windler, Talen Horton-Tucker, Miye Oni, or Terance Mann? (me – T.Horton-Tucker)

If you had the 1st overall pick would you take Zion or anyone else?

Would you rather have the 1st pick this year and only the 1st pick or picks 5, 7, 35 and 42?

anyways, I just wanted others’ feedback.

Ja Morant or RJ Barrett? Barrett has DeRozan written all over him, I think Morant fits better with a team winning at the highest level.

Louis King, DeAndre Hunter, Cameron Reddish, Keldon Johnson, or Nassir Little? Hunter is the only one who of the group who can finish at the rim, shoot 3s, and play defense. He and King might be 4s at the next level though.

Rui Hachimura or Sekou Doumbouya? Rui looks like a position-locked bench scorer, Sekou looks like a flexible 3 and D piece at either forward spot.

Bol Bol or Jaxson Hayes? I like both but Bol might be the best shooter in the draft, I’d prefer the upside.

Cassius Winston or Carsen Edwards? Winston might have a little Monte Morris in him, Edwards looks like a guy who will be too good for the G-League but not good enough for the pros.

NAW, Kevin Porter, or Tyler Herro? While he may not have Porter’s upside, Herro should be a solid starter in a Huerter-esque manner.

Ignas Brazdeikis, Jordan Nwora, Kris Wilkes, Aubrey Dawkins, CJ Elleby, Lamine Diane, or Admiral Schofield? I think most of these guys bust, Nwora might have a Kuzma-like path to productivity if he can be hidden on defense.

Bruno Fernando, Charles Bassey, Daniel Gafford, Tacko Fall? Bassey is young for his class and has the most projectable jump shot.

Darius Garland, Coby White, or Jarrett Culver? Very close, Culver has the iffiest jump shot but plays the best defense and finishes at the rim the best, in stronger drafts these guys would all be late lotto.

Ty Jerome, Markus Howard, Tre Jones, Bryce Brown, Corey Davis Jr, or Shamorie Ponds?  Jones is the youngest and I think he’ll figure some things out. Ponds and Jerome will both stick too.

Jarron Cumberland, Dylan Windler, Talen Horton-Tucker, Miye Oni, or Terance Mann? I would guess Horton-Tucker has the most games started by the end of his career but will likely be very inefficient for the first half of his career. Windler will be more useful, even if in a smaller role.

If you had the 1st overall pick would you take Zion or anyone else? Zion, it’s not close. Zion is my favorite prospect since KD.

Would you rather have the 1st pick this year and only the 1st pick or picks 5, 7, 35 and 42? I would rather have two mid lotto picks than the second pick though. Morant and Barrett will be fine pros, but I see them having careers like Devin Booker where they put up huge stats on garbage teams, and then they’ll get maxed out and the team will be mediocre. Unless of course a surprise team gets the number 2 or 3 pick.

I will take 5, 7, 35, and 42.  Give me Hunter at 5, Kevin Porter Jr at 7, Tre Jones at 35 (or Ty Jerome if Tre is gone), and Tacko Fall at 42.

Zion has a ton of value, but maybe more in terms of trade value than intrinsic value.  Same with Ja Morant.

I can see the reverse with RJ Barrett — some are kinda down on him, and he doesn’t have the flashy name/game as either Zion or Ja BUT he wills himself to points, gets assists, and rebounds like Westbrook or Oscar Robertson.  I think RJ projects best as a big point guard in the Oscar Robertson/Magic Johnson mold.

Bol Bol: higher trade value, although he has a lot of intrinsic value if his worst case scenarios don’t play out.  Flip side: Tacko Fall has a lot of intrinsic value, probably a guy you trade FOR.

Darius Garland has intrinsic value since he can shoot (unlike maybe Ja), although not as flashy and is injured, so Garland probably has less trade value.

Other guys with trade value that I wouldn’t necessarily pick high: Nassir Little and Cam Reddish.  They are more like guys you use in a trade.

Brandon Clarke probably has solid value either way although a 3 and D, toolsy Moneyball combo (tweener?) forward who can’t really shoot may have limited intrinsic value (even if he is a quick jumper with a high motor).  A guy you pick from 5 to 15.

I think Hunter has intrinsic value as high as 4.  3 and D guys maybe are overvalued now but if your front office/scouts think Hunter can be a future DPOY guy then he is someone to look at.

This draft actually has a few DPOY types: Zion, De’Andre Hunter, Brandon Clarke, Tacko Fall, and maybe Tre Jones, Matisse Thybulle, Kenny Wooten, and maybe even Jarrett Culver.

A team might take the DPOY types EARLY then the SCORERS and finally maybe the secondary utility defender types.  Bol Bol, Ja, Garland, and Coby White fit in between both types probably in that 4-8 range.

After that maybe you throw in Reddish, Little, and Jaxson Hayes — some raw players who project as solid athletes and defenders although maybe not super high-end defensive guys (or functional athletes).  These might be the 3 guys you TRADE on draft night.

At this point Ja Morant might be a bit overrated if you think his size, defense, and shooting never come around (or fail to project).  His J-Will type passes may also be slightly overrated.

    Ja Morant or RJ Barrett
-Situational. Depends who else is really on the roster. I’ve got Morant ranked a bit higher though #2 on my big board but not by much. Both will be great players.

Louis King, DeAndre Hunter, Cameron Reddish, Keldon Johnson, or Nassir Little?
    -Hunter

    Rui Hachimura or Sekou Dembouya?
-Hachimora just because I’ve got a better read on him. In theory though Doumbaya’s potential skillset is more appealing however I dont know his habits as a player.

    Bol Bol or Jaxson Hayes?
    -Bol Bol

    Cassius Winston or Carsen Edwards?
    -Winston

NAW, Kevin Porter, or Tyler Herro?
-Herro. Porter has top 5-10 talent but something seems off about him. Hard for me to tell, just as an impression seems undisciplined and hard to coach. Reminds me of guys like Beasley, Stephenson.

Ignas Brazdeikis, Jordan Nwora, Kris Wilkes, Aubrey Dawkins, CJ Elleby, Lamine Diane, or Admiral Schofield?
    -Brazdeikis

Bruno Fernando, Charles Bassey, Daniel Gafford, Tacko Fall?
    -Fernando

Darius Garland, Coby White, or Jarrett Culver?
-Culver. I think he’s in that 2nd tier with Bol Bol and Rui Hachimora. Garland maybe able to join them with good workouts. Doumbaya has the upside. My 3rd tier is Garland, White, Doumbaya, NAW and Okpala.

Ty Jerome, Markus Howard, Tre Jones, Bryce Brown, Corey Davis Jr, or Shamorie Ponds?
-Jerome. His upside is being slept on, I think he can be more than just the projected impact role player. Could be a star.

Jarron Cumberland, Dylan Windler, Talen Horton-Tucker, Miye Oni, or Terance Mann?
    -Terrance Mann.

If you had the 1st overall pick would you take Zion or anyone else?

Would you rather have the 1st pick this year and only the 1st pick or picks 5, 7, 35 and 42?
    -Zion
