Some are not in favor of expansion, due to the present competetive gap between the league’s top teams and the league’s non-playoff teams. I’m the opposite. If the NBA announced that 5 new expansion teams were being rolled out, I would be super pumped! So below I’ve noted 5 markets that I would love to see have an nba team one day.

1.) Seattle – how can a market this big, with a history as fun as the sonics not have an nba team today?? It’s sad. They were the easy number 1 on my list & would love to see this happen again in the near future

2.) St Louis – although mostly a baseball town…. I think St Louis would be a great market for an upsart nba team

3.) Pittsburgh – The Steelers & Penguins own this town….. but an nba team in the ‘the Burgh’ is fun to think about

4.) Louisville – Kentucky has a great basketball tradition, and a pro team would be an easy sell to the northern kentucky residents

5.) Las Vegas – With the oakland raiders heading east to sin city, having a basketball team here doesn’t seem as far fetched as it used to be

*Which markets did I leave out that you would like to see house an nba team?

Seattle…Too much tradation not to have one..

Maybe Vegas..The summer league crowd look lit. Hockey was successful last year, Raiders will prob be successful so it’ll be a no brainer..besides the gambling the housing market is affordable and decent weather.

Those are the only two I would pick.

There are a lot of great “western” cities (Seattle, Vegas, Kansas City, Albuquerque, San Diego, etc.).

I would love to see this happen so Memphis and New Orleans could finally play in the eastern conference they deserve to play in.

I think naturally bringing a team back to Seattle is a given. Bringing back the SuperSonics history and prestige would be great for the league imo.

Another city I feel would be perfect is Pittsburgh. With a city full of rich and winning tradition in every other major sport, it only seems ideal to bring the black and yellow to the hardwood.

Seeing the success of the Golden Knights and Raiders moving to Vegas, an NBA is only going to follow sooner than later. Color scheme and team name would be interesting to see as well.

My unique one not many people talk about would be Honolulu. They have a perfect name in the Sharks waiting for them, and would create an interesting home-court advantage especially against Midwest and eastern teams, although would face difficulty going to those same cities. I made them in 2k (we all know how realistic that is) with a black, deep blue and white color scheme.

Nice change of pace and always interesting to see what other users think.

Back to Vancouver while the Canadian basketball market is hot? Seems unlikely with the dollar being down.. Montreal would be a fun idea as it would attract the French. Get some Gobert, bring in Batum and Parker..

Or maybe go south to Mexico City? Branching out!

Seattle is likely first on the list to get an expansion team unless another team moves there.

I like the idea of Las Vegas – the crowd may be a bit different but a lot of tourists would take in a game and the betting matches would pull in would be a big revenue stream. It would also be the sort of team some bigger name veterans who have a ring might gravitate to.

The NBA would be a major success in Las Vegas.

I really believe it can work! Imagine a Real NBA Franchise in Gothom city! The #1 city in the World!

    New York City!

Just imagine the Cashee, the Swag, the Celebrity culture – an NBA franchise in New York City would be an Instant player & the World famous Madison Square Garden – the Mecca – would be the Perfect venue to host this theoretical NBA team

Some Day this Dream will be Real
