As some here for long time know, I was person to make known such Greek players that have come into NBA such as Giannis Antetokounmpo, Thanasis Antetokounmpo, Kostas Antetokounmpo, and Georgios Papagiannis.

All of them are "discovered in USA" from here.

Now I want to introduce Greek player Lefteris Mantzoukas.

Mantzoukas has just 2 days ago turned 15. So I wanted to reveal him here.

Mantzoukas is like a 9th grader in USA classification system.

This last season, as a 14 year old, and equal to 8th grader in USA classification system, Mantzoukas played in 7 games in the top tier level men’s professional league in Greece. This is level that is one tier level higher above where Giannis played in Greece.

Giannis got to highest level of second division in Greece, at age 17-18, and he averaged 10 points and 5 rebounds there.

Mantzoukas has at age 14 made it to first division in Greece already.

Mantzoukas can play at the point guard, shooting guard, and small forward positions. This last season in Greek men first pro division, he played as a shooting guard and small forward.

At age 14, he was measured as 6-9 tall.

Here he is in YouTube playing against some of the best Greek teams (he is #72 in the videos),

    against Olympiacos Piraeus (EuroLeague team)

against PAOK Thessaloniki (Basketball Champions League team)

Did I read that wrong or did you just take credit for discovering a perennial MVP candidate in Giannis? Lol

No one in USA had heard of Giannis before I posted about him here. I did not take credit for "discovering him". That was a Greek youth coach in Athens. I simply say what happened, he was first known in USA after posts about him here.

He actually first introduced Giannis to this forum at any rate. We’d never heard of him until he started posting about him.

He has also "introduce" us to at least a dozen or more other Euro’s that we’v e never heard of SINCE. One out of a dozen (+) is just throwing crap against the wall and see what sticks.

As for this kid, looks like he can spot up pretty well but highlight reels don’t really show you his whole game, just the "highlights"to make you look good.

I know, I know. He also said about big Papa, who the kings somehow thought deserved a lottery pick. Since we’re a forum that discusses young players, I appreciate the info.

For such a young kid, he does look good. Keep the info coming. I am interested to see how this kid ends up improving.
