any possibility of Durant going to the east to join the wizards at some point?

There was some hype in 2016 during the Durant free agency speculation that he would join the Wizards due to his hometown connection. Once he signed with the Warriors, though, it was clear the Wizards were never really in the running, and never would be. He wanted the easiest path to a ring. Another aspect of him turning down the Wizards that probably didn’t get much attention is the culture of the city. In DC, we’re kind of notorious for hating on our local stars that make it big. Rappers Wale and Fat Trel are prime examples of that. No way he was going back to a place so consumed by negativity. 

He may change his mind at some point because he really didn’t go up the ladder winning easy chips in Golden St. and for most of the year he was melting down and you can tell he wasn’t happy as a person. I don’t understand what he thinks he’s really accomplishing for real in Golden St. He won’t ever be the best player in the league because he’ll never be able to prove that he’s better than Lebron on that team and secondly, he’s not even the most important player for the Warriors arguably.

Two years from now he’ll still be in his prime, but if he stayed with the Warriors for a few years after that and they have the team still in tact, his whole career will be about him being scared to lead his own team. It’s no way around It because it’ll be true.

KD seems to care way too much what other people think about him. If that’s actually the case, he may go back to DC at some point if it courts public opinion about his legacy and popularity. Can’t say it hurt Lebron’s image going from Miami to Cleveland initially. IIRC, Lebron was pretty hated coming off the last Miami chip, then he did the SI article.

 Maybe if the Wizards acquire Lebron, AD and Cousins then Durant maybe interested.

 As long as this warriors team keeps winning titles, Durant’s not going anywhere. But a lot can change in a few years. If kd feels he has a legitimate chance to win a title and would be the missing piece to make it happen in his hometown, I think he would definitely consider it a few years down the line. Dynasties don’t last forever and he is still a relatively young player.

 Not leaving the Warriors unless he drops off after age 38 or so and still wants to get paid, becomes a 7ft stiff

 Think he goes to PHX. He’d fit well on the Diamondbacks.

 I think he should this summer, but he is not. Some players dont want to be home.. He loves Cali

 He will probably stay with GSW until the break up the band. My guess is Klay is the first to be moved or walks..

As for the two part question:1) Where does he go?

2) Where does he goe that will cement his legacy?

1) Depends on does he want to keep forming super teams or does he try be the man again and just get paid..If he wants super team he will go to a team that either has a) some of his friends or b)One with a young promising core-See Lakers/76ers/Bulls/Suns(minus injuries)

If he wants to be the Man and get paid I could see Wiz(at the near end of his careers) or OKC if he wanted to do them right and get their forgiveness as he seems that he would be that kind of guy(if he really wanted to pull a lebron as he is copying him so far)..

2)Where he goes to cement his legacy…That is a really hard question as people will always look at him and if they like a balanced/competitive league will despise him for the weak move to a 73-9 team, which has really backed himself into a corner of GSW until he retires or maybe a Seattle/OKC or Washington team(home town or first team)…I don’t hate on him for choosing another team but the team that just beat you and you could actually have eventually beaten is what will really leave a bad taste in most peoples mouth when they remember K.D’s legacy…
