I’m excited for this years second round and believe that there are going to be guys that go undrafted that wind up having solid pro careers. There’s a little bit of everything in the second round with former blue chip recruits underachieving but still declaring early, college star upperclassmen, and the potential for a run on international players as the first round seems poised to be US dominated more than usual (obviously I could be wrong).

But I want some input on who you folks believe are going to be the ‘odd men out’ come draft night? Who are your ‘last 5 in and last 5 out’? Any players that you think are going to come out of nowhere to hear their names called on draft night? Any projected undrafted prospects that you want your team to take a flyer on? Below is a list of some of some prospects I’m particularly interested in that I consider "fringe" prospects. Thanks in advance folks!

    -Kelan Martin

    -Trevon Bluiett

    -JP Macura

    -Arnoldas Kulboka

    -Borisa Simanic

    -Rodions Kurucs

    -Johnathan Williams

    -Billy Preston

    -Jaylen Adams

    -Thomas Wilder

    -Bonzi Colson

    -Lagerald Vick

    -Kendall Stephens

    -Kenrich Williams

    -Yante Maten

    -Keenan Evans

    -Theo Pinson

    -Justin Jackson

    -Donta Hall

    -Jo Lual-Acuil

I guess I don’t get the Justin Jackson hype. Awful shooter, had a horrible sophomore year. He won’t be able to do anything on the offensive end at the next level.

I think Kenrich Williams gets drafted. He has the rare point forward ability and decent size. Pinson is the type that could go late 2nd too because of his versatility and length.

I have Rodions Kurucs safely in the early 2nd round

Kelan Martin should get picked, but might not because he’s not young enough

Miami would love to mold some of these guys into rotation players that’s for sure. I hope either Theo Pinson or Wenyen Gabriel goes to us at least for the Summer League.

     Jaylen Adams and Yante Maten

I’m a big fan of Yante Maten, Ive followed his entire college career and I believe he has the skillset to be better in the league.

I’d take Vick in the late teens honestly. He reminds me a bit of Hollis Jefferson. I can’t imagine a universe where jaylen Adams and luol acuil don’t get drafted. But I thought the same think about johnathan motley last year so who knows . I was also shocked when Ron baker and van vleet didn’t get drafted. It happens every year

I really like Pinson, Bonzie Colson and Wenyan Gabriel as late 2nd round value picks…

But Gabriel I think can become a starter on a playoff team in time…he’s not assertive offensively at all but has a ton of defensive versatility, athleticism and length. I could see him becoming a valuable bench piece in the same kind of role as GSW Iggy, elite glue guy
