EuroBallParticipantAndrea Bargnani – the raptors are on their way in been a contender in the east and he will raise his level of play due to experience and maturity he gained to the NBA game.
Jerryd Bayless – I really like his game. I think this year is his year.
Michael Beasley – I know Beasley had a good rookie season, but it’s only a moment in time before he start to dominate as he should and I think this year is that year.
Chris Bosh – At times I think this guy is rated too high in the league but his stats standout at you. I think his level of play this year will be at a high level and he will perform great and he will get the respect due to his high rankings.
Greg Oden – I know he was injured and he was just only a rookie. But I think Oden has something to prove to me and NBA fans. This guy was the most hype player ever in NBA history, I hope everyone remembers he had interview with “Bill Russell” Before one preseason game. Greg oden has a lot to prove and I think he’s on his why up. We just lost a center in Yao and I think Oden is the one to step in and move up the ranks. ” Gotta lose to gain”.
C.J. Miles – Tell y’all the truth this guy was the reason for this topic. I was looking at some players stats on NBA.com that i haven’t looked and his standout a bit. first of all, he was a high school player placed into the Utah Jazz system, we all know how hard that system is to adjust to as a NBA player. Secondly, you always saw improve in players stats year by year and his was good, his shooting percentage increase good over his four year in the league and stats showed steady improvement. I think Miles is a young player ready to go to the next level which is “Most Improve Player”. Finally, the crop of players that are making a name for themselves are fair his age and he been in the league a minimum of four years and he should start getting a name for himself.
Darko Milicic – He was young and Inexperience basketball player with great potential but never lived up to it’s as yet. Darko had a bad experience in Detroit. i was very high on this guy when he came into the league, he has failed my expectation so far. I think with his position in New York will help get back on track as a player, I mean when you look at his play on the global stage he play good expect for the NBA which is know for the Highest level of basketball anywhere on the planet so it’s a understood you can struggle no matter who you are.
Jianlian Yi – When I first saw his play, I think he was a more athlete and better coordinated Andrea Bargnani. His game is a unique in a lot of ways. He got the athleticism as American Players and fundamentals as Europeans. His game will Blooms now as Vince is gone Because it’s Harris, Lopez and his team now. His point per game will increase by 5 to 10 over the next two or three years. And by doing that he might get his name up there with Yao but not like Yao, because Yao is China Micheal Jordan.
This a list of current NBA players on their way up.

0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 5:34am #185977

bballdave3ParticipantI don’t know how much more Roger Mason can really bring to the table, he’s a good shooter and that’s his role spread the floor, He’s a 6’2 shooting guard with limited athleticism, I mean I like the guy after seeing him in Washington for a few years, but I don’t know if he’s particularly on the rise, he’s found his niche in the NBA and that’s shooting the ball.

xbadgerhustlerParticipantI think by the end of the season we will be talking about BRoy being the 5th best player in the league (behind Kobe, LeBron, Dwyane, and CP3)
0- Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 10:40am #186349
philipa902Participantif you guys think that Kevin Durant won’t be in the top 5 NBA players by the end of the season you are kidding yourself.
If the NBA was forced to start over RIGHT NOW and just have a draft of all the players. It would go like this.
1. Lebron James
2. Chris Paul
3. Dwight Howard
4. Kevin Durant
5. Kobe Bryant****I’m not saying that Durant is better than Kobe right now but a GM would have to take 18+ years of Durant over 7+ years of Kobe.

D_LegendParticipantReally, No knock to BRoy cause he’s going to be great but if Melo continues the way he played in the playoffs it will be Kobe, Lebron, Wade, Melo, CP3
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 6:07am #185994
xbadgerhustlerParticipantMelo v BRoy, should be an interesting battle for the Northwest. DLegend, I think you’re going to be wrong, but Melo is certainly in the conversation! I’m still one to attribute denver’s success more to Chauncey than to Melo… just as I give more of the credit for his Nat’l championship to GMac, Hakim Warrick, Josh Pace and the 2-3 zone than most…
maybe i’m just a melo hater though.

NJnetskiddParticipantI cant belive no on added Derrick Rose in this list… or Brook Lopez…. or OJ Mayo….. Rose has the ability to be the best PG in the league… Lopez has the combination on size and post ability to be one of the ONLY true centers left in this league. Mayo was a great scorer in his rookie season… but hasnt even begun to show the playmaking ability he showed is hs and college.

jordanrose13ParticipantIt’s very possible that he breaks out this year finally exiting Minnesota for a better situation in Washington.

eprizzle14ParticipantAnthony Morrow/ Randolph
Yi Jianlian- He’s missing toughness or a correct mentality but he flahes some serious skill once in a while, which doesnt cut it. I think he needs someone to light a fire under his behind.
JR Smith- I think he can get better
Von Wafer- Flies through the air and can score in bunches
Javale McGee- I think a lot of teams are going to wish they had him at C
Al Horford

Robin Lopez0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 7:44am #186032
chenager40ParticipantRudy Gay- Dude hasn’t peaked yet and can become a great player
Anthony Randolph- Hes gonna be good this year.
Ramon Sessions- If he ends up with the knicks…watch out.
Goran Dragic- Was bullied around last year but he has bulked up a lot and showed a lot of potential at the end of last year.
Javale Mcgee-Always liked this guy and I knew he was going to be good. Once he gets the minutes, watch out.
Robin Lopez- Shaq really helped him out with being tough. He was really soft til shaq told him that if you foul, you gotta put them on their back. Much more aggressive now and could surprise a lot of people.

BasketballGuru24ParticipantOj Mayo…….he is going to be a crazy scorer in the league
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 8:24am #186080

MagikKnickParticipantWhat other Italians are in the NBA?
I know Bargnani, Bellineli, and Gallinari, but are they the only 3? I could of sworn the NBA italian population was higher then that
Or am I just having trouble thinking of others..

R-Dot-13ParticipantI believe that Chris Bosh is very overrated and has reached his full potential, but his teammate Bargnani is improving.
I also think that this is Darkos last year to prove that he belongs in the NBA, after so far underachieving, and becoming a free agent next year, and I think he is ready to have a solid season in a Knicks Uniform.People that are rising are:
Devin Harris, Danny Granger, Anthony Randolph, Michael Beasley and Courtney Lee
