Adi JosephSorry, but on a board like this, a guy like Hazell doesn’t qualify as "someone nobody knows about." He averaged 22 points per game in the Big East.
Hazell’s new teammate, Herb Pope, though, seems to qualify for this. I think he could be a nice post player.
One guy who could come out of nowhere is Anthony Jones at Baylor. He’s long, athletic and on a team sorely in need of forwards. After barely playing last year, I expect a better output in his sophomore season.

catoosanumber22i see your point Adi Joseph but he must be relatively unknown because he is on very very few mocks. i really agree with the anthony jones point though,Herb Pope is also a solid player, and Keon Lawrence,a transfer from missouri,is also a stud

FutureoftheGameCasey Mitchel from WVU. He was the JUKO POY last year and will step in and start for the EERS this year. Should put up some impressive numbers with Ebanks and Butler.

PsychoTforPresidentParticipantNot sure he can be labeled as unknown but he is never discussed and is very similar to another player this site seems to be obsessed with, Paul George. In the NBA both would be shooting guards, main difference is Cory is a sophmore and Paul is a freshman.

Adi JosephPsycho, you really can’t compare statistics in college. Just look at Adam Morrison.
Higgins is a good player – maybe even a first rounder if he sticks around. But George is so much more athletic and so much longer that he simply oozes potential in a way Higgins doesn’t.
As far as Raines goes, I agree – kid is a sleeper in this recruiting class. Not even in the Rivals150 but he has a smooth post game and a strong faceup game including a jumper out to 20 feet.
At the same time, he’s no where near the freak that Davis is. He’ll be a good college player

JNixonParticipantJeremy Hazell definitely or Anthony Mason Jr…

Biased2ShortGuardsParticipantCadarian Raines is a legitimate young big man that can score who has long arms and a knack for blocking shots. He is playing for Virginia Tech and kind of reminds me of Ed Davis. Best unheard of prospect.

sheltwon3ParticipantI give yall props. Yall have the college and high school game on lock. I will say that is one thing I can definite get from this website is people keeping me updated on these players because I have not been so big on college and high school ball like i used to.

ckowalskiParticipantAlexei Wangmene out of Texas. Had a decent 1st season then got injured last season. I think he’s primed for a breakout year. He’s all hustle and effort, I really like his style of play.

xbadgerhustlerParticipantMalcolm Lee if he stays healthy and has a late growth spurt in him like Russell!
Adi, have u seen malcolm lee play at all? thoughts on him?

Tobe BryantParticipantLike it was mentioned above, I seen Anthony Mason Jr. play and he is pretty good. He look like he would flourish as a pro far more than he is in college. I also cant say enough about IMAN SHUMPERT. Very good talent at GA. Tech.

billykParticipantDrew Gordon (UCLA) – Hopefully his right knee injury isnt that bad…. Very active on defense (shoot blocker) and he rebounds pretty well…..

Adi JosephSome thoughts..
I haven’t seen Malcolm Lee play in person, but I know Aran really loves his potential. When he played for UCLA, he was what you’d expect from a freshman combo guard – clearly talented, but a little lost out there.
I’m not really much of a fan of Wangmene, and with all the talent Rick Barnes has brought in, he’s going to have to transfer in order to shine. His biggest problem is he’s an undersized power forward without the freakishness to make it work.
Shumpert has a lot of talent, but man does he make some bad decisions out there. I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if Mfon Udofia, a much more natural point guard with less potential, takes the reigns at Tech this year and Shumpert slides over to shooting guard.
Robertson could really be a valuable bench player for a team. He’s a knock-down three point specialist and a solid defender. But his lack of athleticism really limits his potential.
Gordon’s another guy who is fairly limited in terms of potential. In some ways, he reminds me of David Lee with his high effort.
