d-grizzlyParticipantGasol/thabeet > krystic, mullens
Randolph > Green – randolph- 20/10..and hurt chemistry…green will turn out MUCH better….
Gay < Durant <----ForeverMayo > Harden <---- ForeverConely < Westbrook - conely could end up just as good, but will take a lot longer. If conely makes it to the next level, a 16ppg, 8apg, 4rpg PG, and mayo and gay are right there along with him in the future...that's one hell of a backcourt. When kobe and d-wade retire, mayo's only true competition for best Sg will be ROY. I'm not sure gasol will fully develope because of splitting time with thabeet, but if gasol can bring his defense to another level, and thabeet brings his offense to another level, memphis will be set at Center for a very long time.... The next thing memphis needs is a true powerfoward in this lineup. f**k randolph..when his 2 years are up...see ya...thank you for your time. arthur needs to be 250 pounds by next draft..and should stay as a backup in memphis. somebody like cole aldrich at the 4 would be perfect. If memphis could pick up some bench help through the next couple drafts and free agent summers and unknown trades, i see memphis being a serious threat in about 4-5 years. serious threat to me = conference finals. In 2 or 3 years..memphis could be an 8th seed. once again, if conely developes, gay plays like he should be playing, and mayo gets better like he will....this will be a backcourt to be afraid of.If mullens turns out to be half decent...and krystic does what he does....and durant/westbrook/green/harden.. each get better like they ( will ) for a long time, This okc teamwill be very well put together. I can see okc sneaking into 8th seed this year at best....but it would be by 1-2 games. okc's bench should not be frowned upon...with collison, sefolosha, mullens, watson, white, weaver, livingston... the bench is above average. If okc doesn't sneak in, i expect them to be in the playoffs in 2010-2011. They are a defensive center away from being serious contenders. With amazing talent in durant...okc will be a very tough team...for a very long time.......Next season win/lossesgrizzlies - 32-50(a few games better than last year - young talent improvement and gell together)thunder - 44-38(potentialy - health - consistency) 40-42(realistically-must gell together)

GreenLanternParticipantI don’t know why Arthur didn’t do better as a rookie. I really hope he lives up to his talent level.

d-grizzlyParticipantthat’s what i said…2-3 years before 8th seed again.

MagikKnickParticipantGriz need a better point guard, Conleys not getting the job done

GreenLanternParticipantEven though OKC is a favorite team of mine, 40ish wins next year might be a little high. I hope and expect 30-plus.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/17/2009 - 12:03pm #183577

d-grizzlyParticipantyou don’t think they’ll make 40? once again, their bench is above average, they have durant and westbrook as the top players…followed by green and harden…
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/17/2009 - 12:14pm #183596

GreenLanternParticipantOh your analysis is good d-grizzly. It’s just that the west is too strong and the east is stronger than it was last season. OKC has to learn HOW to win first before they start winning as an extremely young team with almost zero playoff experience. 40 wins could happen if everything and I mean everything goes right for them.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/17/2009 - 12:18pm #183600

d-grizzlyParticipanti understand the west and east are much stronger, but when you look at the west after the top 4-5 years…anything can happen. i think houston’s out of it..i think utah will struggle for 8th…i think n.o will struggle if no trade happens soon.
I think outside of the top 8, okc’s biggest competition is Golden State. But the nice thing is, westbrook is better than any point guard on gs, durant is better than any player on golden state period. i believe in okc to hit 8th.

GreenLanternParticipantWhat about Phoenix d-grizzly? I really hope they tank because OKC has their 2010 1st rounder, but it looks like Stoudamire, Nash, Hill, and Richardson will be together for at least the first half of the season. Don’t rule out Houston yet, they are one of the 3 toughest teams in the league along with Boston and San Antonio.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/17/2009 - 12:27pm #183607

d-grizzlyParticipantwithout yao, they just can’t do it. mcgrady will be traded off because of his attractive contract. Phoenix will make a push, but hill’s too young to massively contribute, it will be a good rookie year for him though. i don’t know about amar’e, when healthy, they’re always top 8.
I expect this year to be a shock on both east and west, teams like houston falling out of it, if utah pulls the trade off and d-will has his injury bug again, utah will fall out of it, and hopefully miami making doubters shut up.

dwat4444ParticipantI don’t see Utah or Houston making the playoffs. I also don’t see Detroit and Philly making it in the East. So that means 4 new teams will be in. I believe it will be Golden State, OKC, Washington, and Indiana.Charlotte may replace Chicago if they can’t pull off a trade for Boozer.

da gurugolden state better than okc and memphis curry, ellis, randolph, beidrins, morrow
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/17/2009 - 1:04pm #183632

d-grizzlyParticipanti think golden state has a very bright future too…but the thing about them is ellis and curry are offensive minded.
okc and memphis bring defense to the table…or try atleast…. plus durant > a. randolph

Mr. BasketballParticipantharden is closer to mayo then conley is to westbrook…
clippers with gordon, griffin, jordan, and thornton have a better core than memphis. and u guys say that im biased.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/17/2009 - 2:49pm #183669

d-grizzlyParticipantthis was about memphis and okc. it has nothing to do with the clippers.

butidonthavemoneyThe Clippers and Grizzlies are not destinted to ever be successful. It has been foretold in the scripture of Yore.

pointguardfunParticipantthey have a very good lineup, capable of playing offense and defense. bench is above average, durant is already a top tier player, westbrook and harden looks promising. as far a defenders, they have weaver and sefolosha. add a more reliable center (would’ve been chandler) they would be scary.
