I would like to bring you this years Hall of Fame nominations for most created topics on this forum.
Who should the Sixers draft ?
Easily the most common thread over the past few years. Even with all their previous draft picks, this one is still common today. Sixers fans are so clever they can even turn other topics (eg scouting reports) into a Sixers draft thread…Perry Jones – The most talked about prospect on here. Even someone with half a brain could see his college game as nothing special, yet because of the high school hype and Aran having him so high on the mocks for so long, you could not say a bad word about Perry without getting instant negs.
Is the Lottery rigged ?
This classic comes around 2 or 3 times a year, always guaranteed to be brought up around draft lotto time.Kentucky Wildcats – What will their roster look like next season ? Will they go undefeated ? Could they beat the 76ers ? There are 100+ good quality basketball teams, yet so many Kentucky fanboys. I know your nextdoor neighbour’s cousin’s husband’s hairdresser’s best friend used to go to the same high school as Jamal Mashburn and that’s why you are a legit Kentucky fan but I wonder how many of them actually support Kentucky football in addition to their basketball team. I guess they need another team to follow when the Patriots and Yankees aren’t playing….
Andre Drummond – For years the centre position has been weak so when drummond made a few athletic plays on his mixtape, he became quite popular. Despite struggling in the college game, he was still discussed quite often.
Top 10 PG in the league – There are 5 positions, yet this PG thread gets brought up 3-5 times each year.
Sixers / Hinkie tank plan – Quite controversial and brought up often. Most sixers fans were happy with it, quite a few of us got annoyed with their continual and blatant tanking.
Who will make the All-Star team ?
Wiggins vs Parker – The most hyped up highschoolers in quite a while. Lebron vs Melo reference. I think someone even brought up this one a few days ago on here.
Okafor – quality post player, was popular in high school. Now he is struggling, he still gets talked about in trade scenerios.
LA Lakers trades or FA – This old classic isn’t as popular in the last season or two since they are in rebuild mode, but before then was brought up quite often. Some biased Lakers fan would post how they could trade Nick Young, a second rounder and two bags of sugar for Kevin Durant or Steph Curry. Despite only landing Shaq as a quality FA in the past 40 years, someone would bring up that Lakers can easily sign one or two quality FA’s and be championship contenders because every player wants to play for them…

How much more of a dynasty could the Pistons have created if they hadn’t drafted Darko but taken Wade, Bosh, Melo etc. Darko on is own was a great running topic.
Greg Oden is only 20 whatever years old, he could possibly return next year got wheeled out a lot.
