steviechillzParticipantWho are some guys that might surprise fans this year with their production?
1) Dazon Ingram – Very athletic combo guard who scores mainly through his strength, slashing, and off-the-dribble drives. He injured his ankle in the first quarter of last season, but has had the opportunity to mend and learn from watching on the sidelines. I’m hoping that he has also had an opportunity to extend his range on his jumper as he only attempted 2 three’s all year(meaning 179 minutes, but still, at 6’5 if he can extend his range WATCH OUT). He could definitely rise up on people’s radar this season
2) Mikal Bridges – An unsung hero for Villanova this past championship run, Bridges can guard positions 1-4 at the college level. And besides his defensive abilities, Bridges has the height and athleticism to make a real impact on the offensive end. Don’t be surprised if he got some first round consideration this year if he takes the next step for Nova.

MorseWillParticipantCarlton Bragg- I think with Perry Ellis gone and a year to improve/learn the system that he could have a breakout year. He has a lot of talent and a good shot. The key for him will to be aggressive with all the guards that can score around him. Landon Lucas is a good hustle rebound guy, but KU will need some front court scoring and I think it could be Bragg
Seems like Self has always developed his 4s after a year or two, going back to Wayne Simeon to Darrell Arthur to Thomas Robinson to the Morris twins among others I didn’t even mention. These players NBA talent is debatable but Self develops them well for the KU system and I hope Bragg can be the next one.

juves4783Participanti’m not an iu fan but i’m intrigued by a couple guys…
james blackmon jr. – we all know that he can shoot but would like to see if he plays some point guard with yogi gone. if he can show some handles and ability to defend other pgs, he could be a back end 1st rounder. seems like a guy that fits that SA and GS system.
og anunoby – finished the season on some high notes. without troy williams, he’ll probably fill in those minutes. if he comes out and shows an ability to create his own shot and knock down some 3s, he could move up the boards big time. scouts already love his ability to defend and athleticisim.

holefillers1ParticipantI really like Josh Newkirk, tranfer from Pitt. He is the engine that will make this Hoosiers team go. i also like another transfer, Marcus Foster. Playing at Creighton now but was a monster in his first season at K-State.

dcaseParticipantTyus Battle – Syracuse
Obviously the incoming Duke freshman will get the headlines in the ACC, but Battle will surprise a lot of people and will be in the running for freshman of the year in the conference. Syracuse lost its starting backcourt from last year and over 60% of its scoring. As of right now SU only has 3 backcourt players (including Battle) on scholarship…….so its safe to say 1) a lot will asked from him and 2) he’ll get plenty of playing time and oppotunities to make an impact.

ncballerNot that it would be much of a surprise if he fills the role of a star this season, but my guys are telling me that Joel Berry is working his ass off and has a look in his eye in the weightroom and on the court that they haven’t seen since Tyler Hansbrough. One of those I am going to kick your ass and rip your head off every play looks.

shug94ParticipantNigel Williams-Goss at Gonzaga, sat out last year redshirting. But was beastly for Washington before that.
Emmett Naar is a great PG for Saint Marys and should be even better next year.

Hype MachineThis draft site doesn’t like to hype unsexy prospects like Emmett Naar.
Even though the last 2 Aussie St Mary’s PG’s have won NBA Championships despite no team wanting them in the draft. Delly & Mills
Emmett Naar is just as good as Delly and Mills…he’s a lock to get drafted in 2017
