Boban Marjanovic Agrees To Three-Year Offer Sheet With Pistons

The Detroit Pistons have agreed to sign Boban Marjanovic to a three-year, $21 million offer sheet.
Marjanovic emerged this season as a rookie with the San Antonio Spurs, posting some of the NBA’s most impressive per minute stats.
Marjanovic is a restricted free agent but the Spurs will be unable to match and they’ve since moved onto agree to a two-year, $6 million deal with Dewayne Dedmon.
The Pistons signed Aron Baynes, who also was previously with the Spurs. to a three-year, $20 million contract last offseason.

$38,182 per minute (including playoffs) or .58 points per minute (including playoffs)?
By comparison, Hassan Whiteside has played 3,669 NBA minutes, and has been rewarded with new contract that equates to $26,710 per minute. Tyler Johnson got $50 million off 1,527 minutes for $32,744 per minute. But Boban is Boban!

The pistons have really emphasized going after bigs it seems. They traded for cam bairstow, the drafted ellenson, then signed leuer, now signing Boban. They still have Drummond, Baynes, Tobias Harris, and Marcus Morris.
A team with hardly any depth last year now seems to be pretty damn deep. I still think they are lacking offensive creativity, but I’m excited to see them play.
I hope Boban takes Baynes minutes. Fun player to watch and like to see if he can stay successful in a larger role.

I like Boban and am impressed by his agility and soft touch given his massive size. I think he can do well in the league if given the minutes. Good luck in Detroit!

I have had a distain for Detroit ever since They traded Kelly Tripuka and Kent Benson to My Jazz. I am not a Hater. But I do not wish them success.

Dwight Powell 37M for 4 was an absolute steal. Mavs inked their Pf of the futureDirk heir long term. He brings everything you want from a Pf. Mid range game is on point, aggressive rebounder and excellent defender.

Clarkson is another guy, compared to other contracts other players got, who was a steal. 50M for 4 in this market wow!! He gets paid as much as tyler johnson and johnson was injured most of last season. JC definitely couldve gotten a lot more.

Confirmed one hour ago, the Spurs have declined their option on Boban so looks like he will def be a Piston.
I really like this signing for the pistons. Good FT shooter which is important with Drummond
