high floorParticipantPersonally, I don’t think Orlando should trade Vucevic until at least the 2017 trade deadline. I think a 3 man rotation of Ibaka, Biyombo, and Vucevic in the front court brings a unique blend of post scoring, 3pt shooting (I know, Ibaka regressed to 32.7% last year.. so it’s debatable), shot blocking & rebounding to the team. Plus, Vucevic is easilly the teams most reliable scorer.. and anyone they pick up in his place will likely play the wing & take minutes away from Mario Hezonja or Aaron Gordon.
But, assuming the front office feels differently than me & they decide to move him prior to next season, who could they realistically net in return? Below are a few names that I predict will be talked about via the trade phone lines:
1.) Al Farouq Aminu – Adequate Jeff Green insurance if Green isn’t re-signed next year.
2.) Wes Matthews – I wouldn’t like this deal. His achilles injury scares me too much
3.) Rudy Gay – Would have to be 3-team trade, Kings won’t roster Vuc with Cousins
4.) Zach Lavine – This is interesting. I don’t think Minnesota does it.. but maybe they listen
5.) Avery Bradley – If Smart takes a leap, don’t be surprised if Orlando initiates this call.
So yea.. overall.. I think Orlando should stand pat and not move Vuc. Especially if the player they pick up takes minutes away from AG or Hezonja. But I’m no GM… and maybe their front office feels differently. Thoughts?

Lebron’s HairlineParticipantHard to say. I don’t like orlandos moves as they’re taking away front court minutes from Gordon with Ibaka and Biyombo on board, and on the wing with Green in town.

nill650ParticipantIVucevic is arguably thier best 2 way front court player outside of Ibaka and even that is arguable.
I think it would be unwise for them to move him.
I think they would be wise to trade the younger but versatile Zimmerman who projects more as a pf than a center and Napier to the Bullets for otto porter Jr. and a draft pick

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantLast time I checked the bullets weren’t an NBA franchise anymore. And even if they were they wouldn’t agree to that deal.

HobbyOGParticipantI think one of them (Ikba, Vucevic, Bisymack) will get traded in Feb. Espeically if they’re losing. Ikba will look apealing to a contender since he has an expiring contract. I agree this takes away time from AG. Not sure what the Magic is doing.

Untouchable JParticipantId say Aarron Gordon is who you trade, for a bigger piece of the puzzle. I personally think he has "10 year vet who still plays like he did in year 2" written all over him. I’d trade him now while his value is still high

nill650ParticipantYeah that is an option if somebody is just looking for a hustle guy, but it’s not like whoever might want him for what he projects to be in 3 yrs is any different than what you are projecting, and so I think despite his elite leaping ability, he is still far from ever being worthy of being taken 4th overall…they could have gotten the same production out of cory jefferson at 56 , who went 60th in the same draft.
I guess they could try to move him for a 3 and d player and a draft pick.
