After they sign Durant for max deal, signing Horford for near max deal, trading Simmons/Landray for Westbrook, trading Okafor for Hield and signing some servicble veterans for small contracts…

Fun idea they have cap space – if someone like KD wanted a challenge or had the ego to take it on then it would be an original thing to do.
The reality is that for anything like this to happen you’d need a guy who was still in his prime but had titles to his name and wanted a new challenge?
LeBron if you are listening here’s a challenge for you!
I don’t think even a peak MJ could have taken this year’s 76ers anywhere near the title.

Why would the Sixers even want Horford? They can get to the Finals by 2021 just by building around Simmons and Embiid (assuming he’s healthy).

I believe Minnesota & Philadelphia have the best Nucleus for future success
Wiggins / KAT / Lavine & Simmons / Embiid / Okafor
big "IF" w/ EMbiid’s health – but for the purposes of this discussion I am assuming he will be good – he’s still only 22 years old…….. so he’s younger or the same age as Buddy Hield & Kris Dunn
Quick side note: anyone else watch Game of Thrones season 6 Episode 9 last night?
Wow! I been waiting more than 1/2 a Decade to see all 3 of those Dragons light up an Army / Navy & it was Wroth the wait!

  with your thinking. Wiggins, Kat, and Lavine have played in the NBA and people know what to expect with them. Compared to Simmons and Embid. Plus Okafor didn’t show a whole lot last year also.

    Not sure you can say LaVine showed more than just potential still. We only know he is clearly not Minnesota’s franchise player and has upside, but right now he has proven way less than Okafor. Though I agree that with the other two he did not have to show more to make Minnesota look very interesting for the future.
    Still, Okafor is probably leaving Philly anyway…
