Okay, guys, first of all the reason why I’m posting is that I just realized that today is exactly 7 years since I joined the forum and I wanted to congratulate myself on this. And so this is a selfish topic.

As this is my own selfish topic I would like to talk about basketball related stuff that interests me.

The Cavs just won the championship and as a Cavs fat I am elated. Tristan Thompson can now call himself the "Curry-stopper", has a bigman ever played better defense on an MVP caliber PG? His value comes from his extreme versatility on D, I still think he’s a bit overpaid, but he isn’t just Reggie Evans. He is Reggie Evans who can guard all five positions.

What do you guys think LeBron does now? Does he sign his player option, does he sign a long term contract? How much money does Cleveland have to spare? Kevin Love, Tristan Thompson and Iman Shumpert are making over 45 million together next year. If you add Kyrie and James getting over 20 million each that is a hell of a lot of money.

I would still love to see Kevin Love traded, do you see them doing it after winning a championship?

There, would you care to give your input on any one of these questions? I am currently a happy fan and I felt like doing this. Thanks for your attention.

I still think the number one team wanting to target Love is Boston. What assets would you be intrested from Boston to let go of Love? Is number 3, Jae Crowder and Sully enough?

At some stage I think Lebron will go play with Melo and CP3. If he wants a real challenge he should try leading Philly, New York or Minny to a title… Actually, if he joined any of those teams now they suddenly look fantastic.. Massive respect, great accomplishment with this title, legacy secure if it wasn’t already

I think Crowder and Avery Bradley for Love is more than fair for both teams. Lebron plays way better as a 4, and Love will be a better fit in Boston. (Portland doesn’t have the same assets to trade for Love)

Kyrie, Avery Bradley (guard Kyrie’s mistakes), Crowder, Lebron and Thompson; would be a stronger starting 5 in MO.

Boston: I Thomas, Buddy Hield (or Murray/ Dunn), E Turner, Love and A. Johnson is solid.

So my guess/opinion of what is going to happen in regards to Lebron/others:

Next season Lebron will probably stay, as leaving straight after a championship(especially what this one may mean to him also) is not a common occurance unless its money or playing time related which in Lebrons case it shouldn’t be..

So the questions actually becomes this :Does Lebron believe that Griffin will keep putting a competitive team around him and How much longer does lebron believe his elite athleticism will help keep him at the top/near the top of the league..

Lets say Griffin seems to listen to most of what Lebron says and who he wants so that shouldn’t be an issue.

The contract length/type then comes down how long does Lebron believe he will be in the top 5(honestly and not based on his ego), if he believes he has plenty in the tank he can take one or two short deals and then decide how and who he wants to finish his career with or take one last max 5 year deal right now(with his desired opt out/no trade clauses) with the Cavs…Having his career finish in his desired role in either a coaching/advising role or in a front office role and having his career come full circle..

I can’t tell you how much cap they have exactly though, I think its about 79-80 mill that is used already of the 92/94 mill-this does include lebrons 24 mill player option…This is just for Lebron,Love,Iman,Kyrie,Channing+ 2 randoms on less than 2 mill total though..Which is leaving you 12-14 mill to get pieces/fill out the rest of your roster unless you can convince lebron to take a back loaded contract to give you more cap room initially for pieces(which I don’t know how keen he is on this especially with the doing so on the heat)..

    As for K-Love:

It would be a be premature of the Cavs to trade K-love straight after winning a ring and finally developing some team chemistry but these are the 3 ways I see Kevin love ending up on another team:

He wants to be on a team that uses him better/makes him look like more of a star..Which will result in a trade to set team for assets..

Lebron wants him gone/traded for someone specifically..See Waiters and Wiggins trade for Love as an example of this. Also Mello for Love rumors..

The Cavs believe they can upgrade the team and maybe  get a better player than K-love while he still has some value-See all the boston and other team rumors where the Cavs get a haul of assets for him or other star players in return..
