halfdecayedParticipantWhat’s interesting to me is that IF Golden State wins, he will not be able to celebrate with his teammates because he cannot be allowed in the arena.. This is learning the hard way that’s for sure haha!

220ParticipantIf not for his many ball shots in the previous round against Steven Adams, Green might have gotten to benefit of the doubt regarding the latest incident. The man just strikes at the balls way WAY too much. I can’t even feel bad for him after what he did to Adams.

MopgrassParticipantLebron is rich and famous. People like him are used to weirdoes trying to get close to his junk. Those weirdoes are just not usually 6’7″, 230 pounds.

goodsense3ParticipantLol this should make gm 5 more interesting. bron set up draymond at end of gm 4 for this. Now bron your gonna see iggy last yr finals mvp all over your ass from jump. Is that what bron wanted? Can bron drop 30 on iggy monday night cause curry and klay will likely play possessed now and go for 30+ since their boy is out monday.

ChewyParticipantthat the series being 3-1 factored into the decision. The NBA would want the finals to be as long of a series as possible. This strongly pushes game 5 in Cleveland’s favor. It doesn’t screw GS over too much because they will still have a one game lead. Plus it looks good from a PR persepctive.
I don’t know if the NBA would have the balls to suspend him in a 2-2 series tie. They certaintly didn’t last series against OKC.
Not saying Green doesn’t deserve it, but I feel like the discision was based on more than just the actions of the player, which is frustrating.

Reptilian MonkParticipantGreen was overdue he should of been suspended for the Adams kick, he plays with lots of heart but he gets to emotional and intentionally hits people down low. I see justice being served and doubt he would of been suspended if the series was tied 2-2. NBA hoping for a game 7 , more ratings more money

220ParticipantNot getting suspended for the kick was unbelievable. As unbelievable as Green saying he was just trying to flail for the call. The Warriors may have to celebrate without Draymond tomorrow, maybe that will convince him to keep his blows above the belt.

D7H7NParticipantThese are two separate incidents. Green should’ve been suspended against OKC but not here. NBA should at least be consistent because what they’re doing right now is pretty much committing double jeopardy or they have a vested interest is pushing more games because more games = more commercials.
Hell Lebron should’ve gotten a warning or something to not try to step over anyone again.

220ParticipantThe suspension is the result of cumulative flagrant foul points. He wasn’t outright suspended for that hit specifically, it was because he had accrued so many flagrant fouls.

doubledribblerParticipantI always think it is funny how any and all conspiracy theories get dismissed. People conspire to do things all the time and with some of these theories it is later proven or admitted to. Example in sports…Jose Canseco and the prevalence of steroids in baseball. In the real world cigarette companies had tons of documents outlining how they would target children and how they were covering up the hazards of
I think the league was saving Green’s flagrant for this series. There were a few times he deserved one on Adams and should have lost a game in that series. Maybe that would have been enough to turn the series, especially when one team is looking at a 3-1 deficit. I’m sure people would have been interested in an OKC / Cleveland finals, but game one probably would not have been the most watched ever. Despite the blowouts I believe this is the 2nd most watched series through 4 games ever. Diehard NBA fans are always going to watch, Lebron brings in a lot of people that root for and against him, and Curry pulls in a lot of casual fans. Most people with an interest in basketball were wanting to see a rematch of these teams (assuming their favorite team didn’t make it). Worst case Warriors win next game without Green. Best case Cavs win another game, which is another game for advertisers and sets you up with a game 6 in Cleveland. You get to a game 7 of the finals rematch, then you are probably looking at some insane ratings. The more people that tune in, the more money the NBA makes.
Odds are still against the Cavs. They have to come up with 3 in a row against a team that is better than them and hasn’t lost 3 straight all year long. Home court advantage is huge. Does Lebron have at least 2-3 great performances left in him? Curry and Thompson are likely to get hot at least another game each.

KingPapasParticipantDeladova hit to Iggy groin was way more blatant then Draymond to Lebron. Lebron is a known flopper exagerator. He didnt exagerate that contact at all. I have seen him go down and slide 10 feet when Tristan Thompson back handed him inadvertantly. The NBA just wants to extend this series as long as possible for TV ratings and advertisement funds.

SubZeroParticipantJust because it was a bigger hit doesn’t make it worse. It was clear that Delly was going for the ball but Andre moved it out of the way so his crotch was right in the line of fire, whereas Draymond was taking an obvious cheap shot. After last series, you can’t give him the benefit of the doubt unless you’re a Warriors homer or extreme Cavs/Lebron hater.

HitsterParticipantGreen has had this coming and he was just lucky he didn’t have Steve Adams turn nasty on him, imagine he’d done that sort of thing if he’d played against MWP, Ben Wallace etc.
