ZouldiersParticipantTyler Ulis is my pick here. They need a PG badly.

llperezTrying to decide between Demetrius Jackson and ulis. I’ll go ulis here
Edit: change my mind, I’ll go Jackson. Simmons is going to be a point forward so they could use more of an offensive minded pg rather a traditional point so Jackson makes more sense.

festar35ParticipantTyler Ulis – back-up PG in the future, I am sure one way or another they get a starting quality PG by the time the season starts.

Pacersfan22ParticipantDemetrius Jackson. He is a very athletic guard that is quick and can shoot it from the outside. Jackson would benefit playing under Brett Brown due to playing off the pick and roll. Jackson did drop his overall shooting from the field from 50% to 45% this past season and 42% to 33% from 3 which has led many to think he is a streaky shooter, however Philly can take a chance on Jackson with all the picks they currently own because he has lottery talent that has fell to 24.

220ParticipantI think thanks to the recent success of Isaiah Thomas along with the fact that a Colangelo is making the pick that they take Tyler Ullis.

PhillySteveParticipanti dont think a colangelo/thomas nexus exists. He was with the Raptors.

220ParticipantThat’s my fault I should have elaborated more. My thought was Bryan Colangelo likes high speed and high skilled players. Thanks to the stellar play of Isaiah Thomas recently as a guard under 6 foot that has proven himself particularly capable, guys like Tyler Ullis are likely to benefit. Add in the fact the 76ers need to improve their point guard play and the choice seems far more likely.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantI’d go with ulis. They badly need a pg and he should be able to step in and contribute immediately. Jackson wouldn’t be a bad choice either.

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantI wouldn’t mind drafting Demetrius Jackson here TBH, but I also want DeAndre Bembry at 26
Ill take Demetrius 24 and Bembry 26…2 tough upperclassman that can play around Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid…
But No way should we select Tyler Ullis, he’s way undersized and doesn’t have the same skill set that made Isaiah Thomas a stud, he lacks that explosive first step and doesn’t shot the ball efficiently enough for my taste…
And I see some Ty Lawson in D.Jax, I see Earl Boykins when I see Ullis…
Give me Jackson at 24, and Bembry at 26

PhillySteveParticipantHow many times does the original outlier get duplicated? steph, kawhi, draymond all slipped through the cracks of the deraft process and now people are trying to make them the rule, not the exception. I think its a mistake and the same thing can be said for tyler Ullis. he was a great college pg, but I guarantee you he isn’t anything close to Isaiah. First of all, inch for inch, Isaiah is probably the strongest player in thre NBA. His work ethic is insatiable. I first saw him as a ninth-grader and I dont think Ive ever seen a progression like the one he made to Senior year. His strength and his use of it allow him to get to second level v. NBA bigs and he uses that to set up his outside shots.
If the Sixers are serious about improved PG play, taking Ullis isnt much, if any, near term upgrade over Ish or TJ. I can see the case for long-term but I’d rather get a younger but seasoned pg via trade or FA. PGs are plentiful.
Bembry would be my preference. Id rather miss out on Jackson at 26. Bembry may be old, but he’s gotten much better over his st. joes career and probably has more upside.

HitsterParticipantGiven the logjam in the frontcourt in Philly, I’ll rule out any bigs and take BPA from the remaining guys still on board so that becomes Patrick McCaw.

OhCanada-ParticipantBC is not a risk taker he would not draft Ulis here. I don’t think he compliments Simmons well. Both of your primary ball handlers struggle shooting? Sounds like a bad idea. I think at PG they would need more of a scorer that can gaurd multiple positions. I would prefer Jackson of the two.
But BC said he is trading the 24 and 26 unless he can’t find a partner so these mock picks are redundant.

negguaryParticipantdeandre bembry, familiar with the city, sort of polished game, older bryan will like that, but still has upside, and plays D.

SwatLakeCityParticipantThe Sixers will trade this pick, and probably the 26th as well. So I’m going with the unconventional pick, someone that doesn’t really fit the 76ers team nor do they need him, all with the thought in mind that they will be drafting for some other team. The 76ers take Stephen Zimmerman with the 24th pick and trades it to Utah for Trey Burke. Then with the 26th they take Diamond Stone or Ben Bentil and trades that pick to some team as well.
Demetrius Jackson would be a very nice pick for them but they aren’t keeping this pick so it won’t be him. I think the Sixers a more experienced veteran at PG instead of just a rookie who is a seasoned college veteran. They want a more experienced NBA veteran or a PG that could become something that has the raw tools to work for their team, but also needs a new arena to play in and I hope that someone is Trey Burke.

You go BPA this late in the draft. I was tempted to go Diallo, but I think Zimmerman’s skillset will be less ofa headache for this struggling franchise. You worry about Okafor and Noel later.

nill650ParticipantNdiaye high risk high reward. shot blocker and now much more.
this is a project pick, but the prospect is a rediculously long beast, who has begun to show signs of understanding the game after 3 years UC Irvineto go along with an actual shooting ability out to near the perimeter which most scouts are intrigued by.
They don’t need a center , but if they are serious about trading one or both of Okafor and Noel they will need a back up for Embid. There are more accomplished prospects than this one, but none that offer the upside defensively.
another more likely scenario is they draft a combo guard…but they can do that at 26.
