I agree they’d reach, even though at this point there best option would be to take one of the many big men at the top of the board, I think they’d go with Furkan Korkmaz if they reach for a guard, looking for an Evan Fournier type of 2 guard to help them out.

I think they grab Furkan Korkmaz right here. The Kings have been the second most dysfunctional team during the 76ers tankathon series and I expect they take over as number one with the 76ers under new management. Something far more random is surely possible.

If Dunn or hield are available I think they will take one of them. However, if not I think they go with a potential stretch 4 in ellenson as insurance in case cousins isn’t around long-term. He would give them a different look in the frontcourt.

Smart pick would be Marquese Chriss. Hybrid forward you can pair with DeMarcus Cousins or WCS. But since the Kings are great at getting it wrong, I would think they would reach and take Malachi Richardson way too early. Don’t get me wrong, I like Malachi Richardson, but not at pick number 8 and not when your not 100% sure if DeMarcus Cousins will still be in purple by the beginning of the season, let alone the end of next season.

As we have finally drafted Kris Dunn to Denver, I’m going for Sabonis to give them options around WCS and DMC. He can play both positions in the frontcourt, he comes from basketballing stock too. Maybe his dad could get some sense into DMC too.

Korkmaz would be a good choice too, if he was available a bit lower, maybe they trade down a few spots for him.

Dunn here, but you guys think Denvers going to double on non shooting pg to play next to Gary Harris lol.

Im going Malik Beasley here bit early but high potential especially if he can play even a little (10mpg) pg

I suck at guessing the draft (record high spot- 481) I’m just going to use this when you all are done.

    Thanks in advance.

This is tough. They have weaknesses at SG and lack frontcourt depth.

The only decent big men on the Kings are Cousins and WCS. Out of the three big men you could take here (Chriss, Ellenson or Sabonis), I would go with Chriss. I personally like Ellenson and Sabonis better in the short term, but Chriss has the highest upside. Plus, I think he complements WCS and Cousins better than any PF in this draft. I also don’t think there is a shooting guard worth taking this high.

    My vote is Chriss.

If the Kings still try to compete they will draft an NBA ready player. Otherwise, if they finally decide to blow up their roster and start rebuilding they would look for a player with a higher ceilling.

Knowing how the Kings work my vote is Domantas Sabonis

     Henry Ellenson.

Can stretch the floor for Boogie and WCS in thy front court.  Good offensive potential and rebounding prowess. He’s got more translatable offensive polish than the other bigs available, even if he lacks a bit of athleticism.

I’ll go Henry Ellenson. Solid PF good shooter, solid passer and a good rebounder averaging over 9 a game last year at Marquette. He would be a good complement to Cousins IMO with his outside shooting. Think a poor man’s Kevin Love with the potential to be that good if developed properly.

Guessing Jamal or Brown are the pick here in the actual, but they are taken in the predraft game…

Good choice, they only have 3 legit nba C…

      Not a single PF.

I’ll go with Henry but he’s probably too smart for them.

Tough pick for them as they already have a bunch of big guys on their roster. I think they’ll go with Korkmaz as a wing scorer (maybe he’ll turn out better than Jimmer, McLemore, and Stauskas).

i was originally gona go with skal, but then looking at the kings past draft picks, 2015-WCS, 2014-Stauskas, 2013-McLemore, 2012-T-Rob, 2011-Jimmer, 2010-Cousins, all off them were guys who had a good season in college regarded by at least majority of the media.

having said that, im thinking with the reach pick of Denzel Valentine

Kings have really drafted poorly with their lottery picks since Boogie and it really shows in their record.

Fredette, Stauskas, Mclemore, Robinson (remember him?). My god, that’s aweful. I’ll give them a TBA on Cauley Stein.

I think they  trade the pick for a decent vet to put around Boogie and Rondo. As Cousins gets older he is going to want to start winning, and keeping him happy is still their priority #1. If they do use the pick, from that list, Dunn is the BPA
