Next Jorda (LOL there’s only 1) = Brandon Ingram
Next Nowitzki (Less of an LOL but seriously?) = Dragan Bender
Next Magic Johnson (LOL again there will only ever be one Magic) = Ben Simmons
The Curry Defender (LOL nobody can stop Steph) = Kris Dunn
Baby Shaq (LOL again there will only ever be one Shaq) = Damontas Sabonis
That did not feel right at all!

Next Jordan/Best Player This Draft = Ben Simmons. He gets knocked on for his non existant jump shot but he did score at a high clip at 19 a game out of his natural SF position. Once he develops a jumpshot like I’m sure he will, it’s over.
Next Nowitzki/Best Shooting Big This Draft = Dragan Bender
Next Magic Johnson/Best Passer This Draft – Ben Simmons. What he does passing wise is magical especially for a non point guard
The Curry Defender/Best Defender = Patrick McCaw. Been talking up a storm on this guy on realgm and things like steal percetange suggest that he’ll be the best defender in this year’s draft. I could’ve said Kris Dunn or Gary Payton II but from what I know, bigger defenders in the mold of Iggy do better than smaller types like Chris Paul and John Wall on Curry.
Baby Shaq/Best Centre In This Year’s Draft = Diamond Stone. Zhou Qi and Anti Zizic are interesting as well but Stone’s ability to play inside nad out give him the edge here

WinterSoldierParticipantI guess Bender might be Nowitzki, and Simmons might be Magic. They would have to hit the top level of their potential but I guess it’s in the realm of possibility. No Jordans I don’t see anyone who would match that profile Maybe Josh Jackson of next years class. Kris Dunn could be a very good defender he might do good against Curry. There is nothing resembling a Shaq in this years draft.

Baby Jordan was Harold Minor, Vince Carter was one of many Next Jordan players, Baby Shaq was Eddy Curry and a few others like Nathan Jawai and the Greek SoFo. The Next Magic Johnson, Jalen Rose, Walt Williams, Shaun Livingston, some of the names.
It isn’t that they will get there, the players never do, it is just what people will try to call them during the draft times as that is what they always do.
Next Jordan = Jaylen Brown. The athletic dunker.
Next Dirk = Dragan Bender. The easy pick, but a few others might fit.
Next Magic = Ben Simmons. Similar height and skills, and shooting range.
The Curry Defender = Wade Baldwin. Quick and long. Past drafts they looked for Kobe Defenders and players like that.
Baby Shaq = Diamond Stone. One of the stronger centers.
I did have other Next Players, but if there are so many who are angry with looking at the NBA draft then no need to put the next Hakeem, Dominique or anyone else.
