dmo21ParticipantPortland: Jerry Lucas (easily the best available player on the board).
Chicago: Dandridge (they will need defense on the wing for sure with Nash and Nowitzki on that team).

pauliverson34Participanti’m fine with Bosh (I thought B. Griffin before reading others),
and then i think dandridge is needed for defense for the bulls, as i agree with dmo21, and everyone else

sweaterflexParticipantBobby Jones, then Shawn Marion.
Jones doesn’t have the name recognition of some other historical greats, but he was one of the greatest role players of all time. Jones had 10+ win shares his first three seasons (Paul George has one such season, Dandridge has none). Jones led the league in true shooting % the same season he led the league in defensive rating (and ranks 12th all time in TS%). Jones had career averages of 1.9 steals and 1.8 blocks per 36 minutes. These teams all have ball dominant stars, they now need all time great glue guys.

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantThe Blazers have a great passing and ball movement team with Kidd, Durant, and Daugherty. Lucas or Bosh are the best PFs left on the board but I feel like they need a better interior defender down low so my choice is Dave Debusschere, 8 time All-Star, two time NBA Champion and 6 time All-Defensive first team. At 6-6 barefoot he is undersized for 4, but he was also capable of playing SF and playing next to Durant should help. Also pitched a shutout in the MLB so you know he’s athletic enough.
I do love the Bobby Jones pick too though. Somewhat similar player to Debusschere.
The Bulls could use a two way wing. I like the George pick but I’m actually with Nash and Nowitzki they don’t necessarily need a three point shooter so I’m going to go with Sidney Moncrief who made All-NBA first or second teams and All-Defensive first or second teams for five straight seasons.

WrecklessParticipantSchayes never shot over 40% in his career. While he rebounded well, his stats were more so because of his usage. While it may not be a popular opinion, a 6’8 forward/center who cant shoot, and cant make plays at the rim doesn’t deserved to be picked high…. Could he keep up laterally? Who knows.
I think a good fit for the Blazers would be Rasheed Wallace. Good both inside and out, fiesty defender, with a championship pedigree.
The Bulls take Moncrief.

morestealsthanscoresParticipantWreckless – that stat tells you nothing at all. Look at his game, look at the highlights. His % was lower because as well as an inside scorer, he was also a jumpshooter – the trouble was, there was no 3 point line then. If there was, his TS% would be a lot higher. And no way was he a F/C – he averaged 3 assists a game (once was top 10 in the league) and had shooting range – he would’ve been a 3/4 today.

WrecklessParticipantI wasnt old enough to watch Schayes @morestealsthanscores, admittingley going off statistics alone. And highlights can do any guy justice. Im all for passing bigs, and his resume does looks quite nice.
How does field goal percentage not tell you anything? Inefficiency is ineffiency right? Especially when comparing era’s. What if’s are kind of… nonsense.
