knicks4lyfe88ParticipantIts clear from watching the thunder this season and during the post season so far that Scott Brooks wasnt the problem.

knicks4lyfe88ParticipantIbakas game allows other teams to switch everything in pick and rolls because hes not much more then a Big ass Jumpshooter. parker, mills etc etc can guard him because he has no back to the basket game.

phila9012ParticipantThere is no team on the spurs level or the warriors level when they have curry. In any other year this thunder team and the cavs would be worthy champions but not this year. I don’t know how it happened but the spurs and Warriors are by far the best teams in the NBA and barring injury one of them will win the NBA championship. I know everyone already knows that. I am just amazed at how good the spurs are every time I watch them.

knicks4lyfe88ParticipantThe Thunder are such a different team when they cant hide either durant or westbrook on defense. the spurs force all 5 people on the other team to have to play defense.

XYRYXParticipantGood lord!
1st half in the books:
Spurs vs Thunder: 73:40
Kawhi & LMA: 8/10 & 12/16 = 20 & 25 overall pts = 45 pts !!! (Parker with 8 assists and Danny Green 4/4 on 3 pointers for 13 overall)
KD & Russ: 5/14 & 3/13…
What a piss poor defensive outing from the Thunder. You can think of Brooks and the Thunder iso offense as you want but at least they competed on the other end… And don’t get me wrong, Donovan as a first year coach has a nice and effective first season so far but man Pop is teaching the hell out of the Thunder right know!

TheGuyParticipantI know everyone wants to see a good, exciting, competitive game. But watching the Spurs beat absolute piss out of the Thunder who have two the elite talents in basketball is absolutly entertaining.

RioRepParticipantThe Thunder are not. They don’t have players that get fined for shouting f.uck you to a fan. They just go out and play team basketball. All of them players are talented. They don’t have players that can’t shoot free throws. They all know the fundamentals. Pass, shoot, rebound, play together. It’s that simple.

halfdecayedParticipantI pretty much said a week ago how overrated the Thunders were on this site.. People calling Thunders in 6 was just laughable.. Spurs will end this in 5 games.. But really what did you guys expect? That the Thunders would suddenly start playing defense? That Leonard wasn’t gonna be able to handle Durant? I see the Spurs winning the next game, splitting the games in OKC, and winning it at SA.. This shouldn’t be a surprise really

Hype MachineIm not surprised at the result, just the margin.
Talent levels are equal but theres only one team out there playing as a team.
The other has hogs (Durant, Westbrook, Waiters, Kanter) mixed with role players who must hate playing with the hogs.
Doesnt matter if youre in the NBA or YMCA…its hard to get motivated playing when your team is full of hogs.

RioRepParticipantPerfectly put, Hype.
The way OKC plays is good enough to have triple doubles against laughing stocks of teams like the Suns and Kings of life. But the truth is Wbrook is a dumb player, Waiters is laughable, knowing only to slash to The basket, throwing the ball up and yelling "and 1!", Roberson is a pseudo player, Adams and Ibaka are afraid to try anything and have their livers eaten by Wbrook, leaving KD asking himself if he’s really that good. He’ll get his answer next year when be rushes off the door for a better scenario. Right now he just doens’t know what to do. That doens’t really surprises me, since I saw a piece about him that showed that in the offseason, he lives with a bunch of his guys that all they do all day is play video games and chill on the good life he provides.
I used to think that it was coach Brooks’ fault. But now I just think you can’t coach a guy like Wbrook. Similar to Kings’ situation with DMC. People started to call these guys stars or even superstars and they really believed it!

Arc12345ParticipantExactly why Kawhi deserves to be 1st team all NBA.
Everyone CONTINUES to sleep on him saying he doesn’t deserve it over KD and Lebron. HE HAS BEEN THE BEST SF IN THE GAME THIS YEAR. Period. I’m tired of getting grilled by people who think otherwise.
Open your eyes. If KD is first team over Kawhi at a forward spot, I’ll lose it.

TravelinTravParticipantIf the Thunder are defeated in 4-5 games will this be the beginning of the end for the team? It doesn’t seem like OKC is having fun when they play, I know it’s not about fun all the time but chemistry is very important. If they get shut out in 4 I believe Durant leaves, if he does I’m guessing he goes to the Wizards.

HitsterParticipantSpurs looked awesome, it does make KD free agency very interesting if Thunder are brushed aside. If KD jumps ship then does Westbrook come into play – might be better to get a good package for him than lose him for nothing.
Personally I think KD stays but puts a few player options in.

BiggysmallsParticipantI remember people on here saying the Spurs couldn’t guard Kanter and that’d be a big key.
Something tells me the Spurs aren’t sweating Kanter. They’ll put him in a blender on the other end of the floor.
I love the point somebody made about Ibaka now. You can guard him with a point guard because not only doesn’t he have a post game, he doesnt crash the glass and punish people there either.
I still think this can be a 5 or 6 game series but I do enjoy seeing a team like San Antonio continually make good teams look absolutely horrendous. It’s amazing that players can watch the Spurs, yet so few try to play the way they play. There are so many players concerned with themselves and drawing attention to themselves, and guys who make stupid plays, then you see the Spurs who just have things figured out.
Someone said it well, they do everything well. It’s really simple. It’s not complicated, yet so few NBA players do it. It’s amazing.
