I’m pairing them both up with their teammates who were both Top 5 players in their primes. Westbrook has MVP type potential before his career is over and Nash was two time MVP. Blazers take Westbrook to pair with Durant and Bulls take Nash to pair with Dirk.

Blazers – the biggest needs will be spreading the floor and defending the match ups that Durant can’t defend. That’s why with the 37th pick, I go for Kawhi Leonard. (And that pick will look really good in about five years time).

bulls – dirk had his most success when he was playing alongside a centre that was big enough to take on tough match ups at the 5, but quick enough to guard the best 4s. That’s why with the 38th pick, I go Dave  Cowens – he had a defensive flexibility that Willis Reed, whilst great, couldn’t offer.

is it sad that I really missed this? Thinking a few picks ahead already – find it interesting how after just one round, my big board looks totally different for every single team!

Blazers- Steve Nash, It is noit about the best player, but best fit to compliment Dirk. I think it has to be a great pg given Dirk’s skill set, and I can see Maravich, but I think the chemistry with Nash is way too much to pass up. Pick and roll with Nash and Dirk,, how could you not pick Nash? (def. Centre next, i agree a def. centre is needed who can guard 4 or 5, but you can still get that next round, you can not get a player like nash next round!)

Bulls- J. Kidd to feed durant (payton was close)

Blazers – Bill Laimbeer to pair up with Durant. Laimbeer is an all-star, lead the league in rebounding despite only have a three inch vert. Great IQ, teammate, mentally one of the best ever. Would look after Durant

Bulls – Nash to pair up with Dirk

      I’ll go with some reunions.

Blazers take Westbrook to play with KD.

Bulls take Kidd to form the champions with Dirk.

Blazers take Jason Kidd to be that pass first point guard that KD will thrive with.

Bulls take Walt Frazier to give them a dynamite floor general and lockdown defender to compliment Dirk.

I wont be here for the next few days so ill do my votes now…

Dumars (46% & 38% from 3) vs Ray Allen (45 & 40%) vs Reggie Miller (47 & 39%). Dumars was a Finals MVP and was all defensive first team four times and second team once unlike Allen and Miller….

Sixers – Iverson…… 1) Laimbeer would do his best to keep an eye on AI. 2) Dumars quiet, good locker room guy shooter and defender. One of the few players that would work well with Iverson.

    Heat = Isiah Thomas….. 1) Dumars. 2) Rodman 3) Parish

    Rockets – Moses Malone at PF…… 1) Nash 2) Kidd 3) Drexler 4) Parish

Bucks – David Robinson…….1) Dominique Wilkens (I just like the combo) 2) Nash 3) Kidd 4) Drexler

Mavericks – Scottie Pippen…..1) Laimbeer. Pippen is soft, would need someone to look out for him when he gets his migranes. 2) Ray Allen 3 point shooter. 3) Parish

Hawks – Barkley….1) Rodman (pure entertainment value) and Rodman can guard 3/4 to help Charles on D. 2) Dumars. Barkley is loud, Dumars would fit well as he is a good, quiet, locker room guy who plays d and shoot 3. get Charles a shot blocker 3) Mutombo 4) Mourning

Pacers – Jerry West PG….1) Rodman 2) Parish 3) Dumars 4) Ray Allen

Knicks – Karl Malone ……1) Nash 2) Kidd 3) Walt Frazier 4) Dumars 5) Ray Allen 6) Dominique
