daggers818ParticipantHavlicek for Spurs, and I’ll take Bill Walton for my Lakers. Value pick at end of first round. Arguably best or second best college player of all time, former NBA champ, NBA mvp, and at one time, the best big in basketball. Injuries prevented him being truly great and all-timers like Pettit, Barry, Cousy, Reed, Payton, and Walt Frazier amongst others rank higher than Walton, but I’ll pick up one of those at the top of the 2nd round and secure my big here.

mikeyvthedonParticipantOr for any future picks, could you spell the names:
Isiah Thomas (which is how the Pistons legend actually spelled his name, contrary to the spelling of the current Celtics All-Star, who I am guessing is still on the board)
Dwyane Wade
Just would be nice to spell it right, am even cool with you spelling LeBron without the capital "B", good with that being spelled right.
My choices are Bob Pettit and Rick Barry.
Going by the highest players left on my top 100, both led teams to titles, were absolutely dominant in their time. Size and ability would likely still help them do the same with the resources of today, though I still feel it is important to go by what they were able to do when they played, both of these guys being excellent.
Little thing I always thought was cool regarding Rick Barry (besides his being one of the best FT shooters of all-time shooting granny style): He is one of three players to average 30 ppg during the regular season in the same year he won a NBA title. The other two are Kareem Abdul Jabbar (Milwaukee, 1971) and Michael Jordan (Who did it for each of his first four). Will see if Stephen Curry can add his name to the list.
