ZachAttackParticipantWith the 10th pick in the Ultimate NBA Re-Draft, the Golden State Warriors select… Kobe Bryant from High School!!!
With the 11th pick in the Ultimate NBA Re-Draft, the New Orleans Pelicans select… Oscar Robertson out of Cincinatti!!!
Results:
Bryant: 11
Robertson: 10
Russell: 9
Wade: 4
Erving, Garnett, Sabonis, Robinson: 1Bryant and The Big O were tied and so I placed my votes of Bryant and Russell. So, it was a really close race.
Draft so far:
1. Clippers – Michael Jordan
2. Timberwolves – Magic Johnson
3. Grizzlies – Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
4. Nets – Lebron James
5. Raptors – Larry Bird
6. Hornets – Shaquille O’Neal
7. Wizards – Wilt Chamberlain
8. Cavaliers – Hakeem Olajuwon
9. Kings – Tim Duncan
10. Warriors: Kobe Bryant
11. Pelicans: Oscar RobertsonIn order to keep this going as well as us having to slow down a bit on the picks of the second round and beyond to fit team needs, we are going to do 3 picks a day.
So the Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons, and Orlando Magic are now on the clock.
Do the same voting as we have in the past with just choosing 3 players and the top 3 players will be picked.
Let the picking begin….

CanadianGMParticipantI’m sure Russell should be the pick but you know who else is 6 foot 10 & 220 pounds and has a skill set that you won’t be able to compare with in the second round.
12. Durant
Im going current for the next pic as I don’t recall Isiah Thomas winning an MVP and although he was 3 time NBA, I believe Steph Curry has a higher ceiling with his shooting.
13. Curry
14. Isiah Thomas (Pistons)
I know I am leaving out some all time greats but if we’re playing under current rules, I think it’s important that they have a skill set built for today’s game.

r377ParticipantCommissioner ZazhAttack are your running current draft order all the way through or reversing the draft order in round in round two ? eg. last pick of round one gets first pick of round two and first pick of round one gets the last pick in round two.
I am happy to run two draft picks per day…..

14 Karl MaloneI wont log on tomorrow so here are my picks for tomorrow
15 David Robinson
16Julius Erving
17 Charles BarkleyReasons for my picks. I am not the biggest karl Malone fan, in fact Barkley was the better player but Karl Malone is very durable. He played up till he was 40 and played 81/82 games nearly every season, while Barkley was out of shape quite a lot and missed games due to injury.
David Robinson to be drafted higher as good defensive centres always get drafted higher.
Dr J could have been ranked higher – smooth athletic highlight reel. Professional and a fan favourite he would sell a lot of merchandise for your NBA franchise today. He was the face of the NBA before Jordan. Would love to see how good he would of been today, with all the training and nutrition. I have seen video of him still being able to dunk the ball at age 60!
Barkley was a freak, great rebounder for his height. He could defensive rebound, dribble it the length of the floor and either throw a behind the back pass or dunk it himself.

CU.LIONSParticipantActually like these same 3.
Russell was not a very good offensive player, but make no mistake being a dominant defender and rebounder all while not demanding the ball so much on offense only allowed his teammates to shine more. 11 rings in any ERA is impressive.
KG, my personal 2nd favorite player. This man always brought it and had the skills, athletics and intensity to battle against anyone. While many won’t agree, I would put KG on the same level as Duncan at PF. Just that KG played with some real bad teams unlike Timmy.
Barkley- maybe the most unique player ever. 6’5 300 pound PF who when on his game dominated in a way not seen before or since. Barkley was also a one man fast break. Younger guys on here should actually look at some old highlights on Youtube.

ZachAttackParticipantOK everyone… So I’m looking for suggestions on how to run the second rounds and beyond…
Should we keep doing just 2 a day and have it take what… 2 months to do the whole draft… Should we pick up the pace. What should we do?
Any suggestions? Anyone? No Ideas are Bad Ideas

0- Posted on: Thu, 04/07/2016 - 5:33pm #1052795

ZachAttackParticipantYour pick… That’s what makes this great. In the end, we’ll show all the teams, then do a vote… Who’s the most offensive team, best defensive team. Who would be the most fun to watch, least fun to watch. Who would do well in this era, who would do well in the 80’s. All those different questions.

r377ParticipantFollowing rounds maybe 2×2 picks as you need team chemistry – you can’t put AI and Kobe on the same team.
Eg Jordan Clippers. Second rounds pick choices. 1Dennis Rodman. 2Mutombo. Reason Mj is the greatest offensive player, pair him up with a great defender
11 pelican. Oscar Robertson. Second round choices. 1Dirk Nowitzki. 2.Dumars. Oscar is a great PG, you can either build the backcourt with Dumars or take a great shooting PF to pair him up with.
6 Hornets. Shaq. Second round choices. 1Stockton. 2Nash. Shaq is such a good low post scorer, pair him with a good quality pass first PG to get him the ball
